Oreo Truffles
1 18-oz. pkg. oreos, finely crushed
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 lb. white and/or milk chocolate baking chocolate, melted
In large mixing bowl combine crushed cookies and cream cheese. Beat with mixer on low speed until well blended. Form 1” balls by hand. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place on baking sheet covered with waxed paper. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. To store, cover and refrigerate. Delicious!
**place in little mini muffin paper and place in box to give as gifts.
Makes 50 truffles (if you don’t keep eating the oreo mixture from the bowl)
* It is helpful to chill the balls for an hour before dipping them in the melted chocolate. (My girlfriend that shared this recipe with me, says that chilled balls is much easier to handle) (and I'm sure she meant that in the nicest way possible. :) )
