The morning that couldn't have started off any worse... UGH!

This week has been one of the busiest weeks I've had since before summer started.  It's been one thing after another and has seemed to be non-stop craziness and on the go.  Last night was Open House, everything went very smoothly... Open House Madness!

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning, I think I could have stayed in bed all day long if the option were there.  Sadly, that wasn't an option. :( LOL!

I made the kids breakfast and then it was time to get ready for school.  Today is picture day, so I had the kids clothes already layed out.  Stephy was dressed and ready to go, of course she looked adorable.  Chandler got dressed and when he walked out, something just wasn't right!  UGH, here we go.

The collar on his shirt wasn't even, not even close.  At first i thought it might have been buttoned wrong, nope!  I tried to fold the collar a different way, nope!  It's a BRAND NEW shirt - he's never worn it.  He hadn't worn it yet this year because I knew that I wanted him to wear it for pictures first.  Easy enough, right?  Wrong!  I tried to fix the collar and nothing worked, I looked closer and it wasn't even close to being even.  One side was perfect and the other side wasn't even close.

It should be as easy as putting on another shirt, or so you would think.  Had him put on another shirt... too small.  Another shirt... too small, another shirt... same issue.  HOW could he have outgrown these brand new shirts in a matter of 2 weeks, UGH! 

So, he ended up having to wear a t-shirt - so not what I wanted him to wear, but I guess that's what happens sometimes.  I tend not to let the small stuff bother me, but it was just a crappy way to start the morning.  Especially when I had my mind set on him wearing a specific shirt and it not working out.

I hate it when they have these sudden growth spurts out of the middle of nowhere.  Especially when it's right after buying new clothes, why is it that it always seems to happen that way?

TGIF, I can't wait for the weekend!

My daughter is also outgrowing her clothes to quickly. I get some new ones and then poof.........it's too small or too short. That's why I tend to buy at yard sales, then I don't feel like I have spent a fortune for clothes they don't wear very long.

I'm sure both of the kids photos will be adorable no matter what they are wearing.

I never pay full price for their clothes, that is insane and something I have never done! I always shop clearance... love those 77 cent shirts from JCPenney. I always tell myself, heck for $1 if they wear it once and ruin it it's no biggie - but today just wasn't a good day for that to happen! LOL!

I certainly don't blame you for being frustrated over the first shirt...I hate when something like that happens!

I know how that goes. I've had many stressful starts to my days. My son gets on the bus 1/2 hour before my daughter does. trying to get hem to wear what you want them to wear for pictures is a whole other issue. Like you, I no longer sweat the small stuff. It will drive you crazy. We got Kimmie's school pictures back yesterday. She lost her two front teeth within a couple of weeks of each other, so she's got an empty spot where teeth should be. : )

That is rough.. Brycen is 4 and when I bought his school clothes I bought size 6 jeans and 6 -7 shirts.. lol.. he is not big oir huge.. average Id say.. But they fit him nice and loose so he loves it.. Similar for Blake.. My girls are only 2 that actualy have clothes fit to right age and size..

sounds like a rough start. mine was too. My pregnancy is high risk and they have had me off work since aug 2 and the short term disability people are denying my claim yet again because they want more info and there isn't any more to give and I haven't had a pay check since july 31 I spent my morning crying and fighting with them pulling my hair out. now they are telling me that if I don't go back to work I will be terminated adn the doc won't release me. I hope you have a better day and a good weekend. I am going to try,.

Trish, I would definitely fight this one. I had problems with my first pregnancy like this, my short term disability would not cover it because they told me it was my choice to get pregnant. However, it was not my choice to have a difficult pregnancy.

It wasn't even my "choice" to get pregnant. it was a case of failed birthcontrol...not that I will Love this baby any less. I can't wait to have him in my arms...I talked to my husband today and he said that so what let them fire me we will be ok then I will go get another job after he is born. My hubby is sooo sweet.

Sorry your having a rough morning. I am sure your kids pictures wil look great no matter what they have on. They tend to photograph very well.

I know what you mean about kids growing ou of clothes and shoes. Wait til they become teens...it get worse. I know Itend to buy asize bigger if I find on clearance. Just in case they out grow ter clothes. To be safe sid.

My 9 yr old daughter has stopped growing. I keep waiting for her lastest growth spurt but it hasn't happen yet.

When you are a Mom, it happens. Especially in School photos, so they can tell you how mad they were at you when they get grown. I had fixed Tracy's hair so beautiful. It started raining when the kids got off the bus/ The teacher would not let the girls comb their hair before the photos were taken and they turned out horrible. Not my fault.

Oh, I know what you mean. We bought Angela new jeans one year, and 2 weeks later they were just too small....I couldn't believe she grew almost an inch in 2 weeks. Even now, she has only 1 pr of jeans that fits her.

I hope your mornings since then have gotten better. Look at it this way atleast picture day at school is only a once a year.
