Yesterday was a busy day, I was at the school from 8:30 - 12:00 and then again from 3:00 - 8:00. From 12:00 - 3:00, I ran errands and was at home long enough to get the chores done before having to go back to the school.
8:30 - 12:00 was organizing for the Clothes Closet so we can get that launched by the beginning of October. 3:00-5:00 was spent setting up for Pizza Social/Open House at the kids school. We had to make copies and sign up sheets for the PTO table, set up the cafeteria... we covered all the tables with colorful paper, got drinks and ice cream ready to be served and waited for pizza to be delivered! We also had school related crossword puzzles and word searches on all the tables for the children and parents to complete.
From 5:15 - 6:15 was the pizza and ice cream social. We had nearly 70 families attend the pre Open House event, it was a huge success! From 6:15 - 7:15 was around to all the classrooms with Chandler and Stephy, they sure were excited to show us everything. I also had a 20 minute shift at the PTO table.
From 7:15 - 7:45 was clean up, luckily there were several families that helped with this and it went very quickly!
We were home at 8:00, which is the kids bedtime, but today is picture day so I had to get thim into the shower for a quick washing and get them into bed. The kids were in bed by 8:30 and I was finally able to sit down and relax for a few minutes before heading to bed early at 9:00. It was a long day and I was exhausted!
