Old School Drama Returns to Fight Filled Survivor Samoa

Survivor Samoa returned yet again for its second episode and thankfully it wasn't solely about Russell. That doesn't mean that drama surrounded both camps though as Foa Foa awoke to a cocky Russell and a poor Betsy who walked into his cockiness. Did I mention he was cocky? He told her flat out that she was wrong for not voting the way he wanted and right then and there I knew Betsy was doomed. Not only did Russell want her out but now the stupid tribe, as I believe they are, wanted to vote out the "old people". Don't they realize that's always a death wish? I hate when people get voted out for being "old" and that's exactly what Foa Foa was planning to do to Betsy and Mike.

Drama was also going on over at Galu, focusing on Yasmin. She complained, complained oh and complained some more about hating the outdoors. Didn't she know what she was signing up for? She had some great one liners though and they didn't stop there. After some Yasmin goodness, Foa Foa returned with Ben eating a lizard and Russell being stupid... well smart. After creating a tight alliance with Jaison he decided to look for the idol, while EVERYONE was standing around him!?!?!? Who does that, but it worked. He didn't have a single clue but Russell found the hidden immunity idol, that nobody even know existed yet, up a tree. He slide the idol into his underwear, nobody will want to grab it there!, and sneaked away to tell Jaison. Russell was smart to find the idol but stupid by telling Jaison. I foresee a mutiny in his future.

In the next combo reward/immunity challenge it was the always exciting bash into each other to grab a ball, then shoot it into a hoop to gain a point. First to three points would win immunity, fishing gear and a "secret scroll". The guys were up first and after they bashed each other crazy, Foa Foa scored the first point thanks to Liz. Next up were the ladies who also bordered close to a full out brawl but this time Galu scored. Jeff then laid down the law, no cheap shots or you’re out! Well we all knew what was coming next as Ben tripped the other Russell, taking Ben out of the game thanks to Jeff's "sissy rules", his quote not mine. That allowed Galu to score the point and they followed that up with a win. Sending Foa Foa back to Tribal Council and that's not the worst part.

The worst part was that Yasmin got to join them back at camp, yes the crazy complainer who I just love to watch since she has great commentary and drama! Russell of Galu chose her to go, per the twist, so she returned back to camp with them. Before that went down some more bad luck, other than Yasmin, followed Foa Foa as Mike's last season (yes he was supposed to be on Tocantins) blood pressure issue came back to bite him. He just couldn't stand up, was fainting and it was obvious he shouldn't be on the show. After failing last season's health test they should have just dropped him, too bad it's affected the Foa Foa group since they didn't need that considering they are still going to Tribal Council.

Before we get to Foa Foa let's talk about the small piece of Galu we got to see. With Yasmin gone you'd think the drama would be too. You guessed wrong! Shambo grabbed the fishing gear first thing and proved she could be the new Rupert, but I was wrong. She didn't catch any fish after hours of being in the ocean and lost the mouthpiece to the snorkel. Um.... not good, I can just see Rupert screaming next season as he finds the missing mouthpiece floating in the muck! Oh whoops, get the spoiler police on my now! Ok back to Yasmin, I mean Foa Foa. She told them right away that they were babies and that she was there to help them win. Bad choice. Everyone hates her now for going on and on without a minute of silence and then the brilliance happened. 

She confronted Ben "privately", rather right on the beach 10 feet away, about pushing her during the challenge. He didn't back down and called her out for her grammar, which didn't seem THAT bad, but in the end he was calling her "ghetto". People will surely be talking about the fight tomorrow, if they aren't already on twitter, and after Big Brother gets in trouble for racist statements I highly doubt anyone will let Survivor get away with it. The fight was amazing TV, be it a stupid one, but that's what I love from Survivor and I'm glad the drama is going down so quickly! Things then turned to sadness as it seemed that Betsy was doomed. Everyone wanted her out but she made a case to stay with Ben's morning wood chopping and him you know, being thrown out of the challenge. It wasn't a "big deal" to most but Betsy didn't get why not. Sadly that was her downfall.

At Tribal Council things went from bad to worse as Ben called Yasmin trash to her face, but she couldn't talk back as she was simply observing. It would have been BRILLIANT if they let her talk, I mean he even put Jeff down several times but all he did was smile. Betsy then spoke her peace about staying and it seemed she had a chance with Ben’s crazy Tribal Council antics but sadly no... Betsy went home with all the votes against her and we live to see Russell go down, hopefully, next week. Here's hoping Jaison can pull a mutiny and get the cocky out of the game. Let's just hope Yasmin stays, since she's the GOOD type of drama the show needs!
