There is a video called the Story of Stuf, that is being showed in schools across the country.You can watch it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLBE5QAYXp8&feature=player_embedded. The problem with this video, is that it was paid for by the George Soros funded Tides Foundation and the Host Annie Leonard is a former Green Peace employee and has worked on several environmental issues. The problem with the video is that it is filled with lies and misrepresentations of the facts.
Here is a four part video that debunks the Story of Stuff, and many of its outrageous claims. SOS Critique 1, SOS Critique 2, SOS Critique 3, SOS Critique 4. Please watch all 4.
Now if this is not enough, here is a school teacher indoctrinating her students by having them sing a song about Barack Hussein Obama. Watch the Video Here.
Please talk to your kids about these videos and don't let them be indoctrinated.

As to the indoctrination of kids, a teacher wrote this -- maybe a bad idea. We do, however, have lots of songs written about lots of people living and past. Use it for the beginning of a discussion if you listen. Let's make things that happen work rather than just griping.
One School? District, Missoula, Montana, prohibited the video from class room use. You have every right to be distressed that a negative view of unbridled consumerism is being fostered by anyone. BUT remember the right of free speech extends to all or none.
HUH? There is a positive aspect to "unbridled consumerism"?
You are trying to be funny, right?
There is a lot of crap on You Tube and a lot of good informative information. One has to determine if it is fact or fantisy, just like in the news.
Talk to you kids, let them see the videos, but make sure they can tell for themselves what is right or wrong.
is correct
Our local public school was really bad so, I sent my children to the only good private school nearby, a Christian school, we had the daily de-programming on the way home. It became a game.
But I had to be careful, it was important for them to respect these teachers they already liked.
The school had an excellent academic program and wonderful music program and excellent behavior standards.
My daughters have been aware of these things and keep on top of everything. I suggest parents, who cannot home school, just continue their education when they get home. Discuss what they learned - look at their books - and for heavens sake, get them to reading the classics too.
Next they'll focus on alienating children from their parents. I'm glad mine are grown.
Or maybe I wrote that one? It's out there somewhere.
WHAT do you think Faux News is all about?
Are you telling me you doubt their version of what is?
~~~~~~~giggles~~~~~~~~~~
AUX
Your Problem is, that you hate Fox so much, because they are not willing to be manipulated by the progressive agenda. Again, if the message is right, it doesn't matter the messenger.
Not exactly.
I hate Faux because it is the mouthpiece for Rupert Murdoch (you want a good candidate for the antichrist? He is Satan's right hand man). They are extremely good at influencing people with no intellect.
Isn't it funny the anti-immigrant Republican voter base are given their marching orders by a foreigner?
Fox News reports some facts every day. It's the old broken clock gag in action.
Above him on Forbes list and far more dangerous are the KOCH OIL brothers,
David & Charles,
Founders of Cato Inst. and PNAC(birthplace of neocons and nearly all
Geo. W. Adminstration)
Funder of Heiritage, Heartland, many other conservative think tanks.
Rupert was once on the board at CATO,
Closely affiliated with Clearwire, owner of Premier Networks, who book all the round the clock AM conservatives on their 5000 radio stations.
Koch brothers (actually 4 of them) Father Fred was Co-founder of the John Birch Society.
Indoctrination hahahahahahaha
Here is another politically active conservative name.
Walton Family
Conservative
Ronald Perelman
Conservative
Ray Hunt
So don't you think you ought to find a few more names than poor ole George Soros?
They keep the dialog to a few simple key words to whip up outrage
Liberal, but none of them know what a political or social liberal really is.
They also think social and economic conservaties are the same.
These all mean the same thing to the base, socialst, communist, facism, Nazism, Markism. They don't know what any of these words mean.
Acorn, even though there are hundreds of social / political groups helping low income people and who have grants from the Government for certain work. (This is actually a result of Conservative/Republican demand to outsource jobs from the gov. payroll.)
So any one of the talkers only has to mention a few words to get the heads nodding and screaming.
The truth that critics don't like is that it is also an attempt to change the current indoctrination of children that is happening. Our conservatives have won the message. They are pro-business and have confused people with nonsense about who creates jobs and who pays taxes. Most people have bought into this dishonest indoctrination in America. Also, the new vocabulary that censors any information about civil rights, women's rights, or gay rights has been successful at indoctrinating the most recent generation to believe that these discriminated groups are the problem.
So, having a conversation with the students about President Obama (as has been done for all presidents before him) is hardly indoctrination. But, having a conversation with students about President Obama doesn't fit the agenda of the bullies who demand that we "take our country back!" Of course, it is code for returning to a time when certain groups were favored over other groups. Any talk of treating all persons equally scares the hell out of these ideologues. And, certainly, the children should not have discussions like that. So, who is really forcing indoctrination on children? Is it George Soros who wants to increase knowledge about finances and equal treatment of all? Or, could it be these stingy ideologues who want the children to believe nonsense like the bible is an acceptable academic source in an essay? Finally, like it or not, President Obama is the choice of the voters. Sharing President Obama's words with children isn't less important this time around than it was when George Bush was president.
I would bet serious money that nearly any documentary/instructional movie shown to school children during the 1970s and 1980s would be named socialistic by every single social conservative the U.S.A. today.
They would probably go tear down the schools. . .
The conservatives first elected Regan in 1980 but didn't really get involved in the schools(except for prayer & evolution) until the 1990s
Certainly, parents are the ultimate teachers of children, Diana. Teachers should not be teaching children about matters of personal values or religion, for example. But, good teachers teach many perspectives: even perspectives that parents disagree with. It is necessary for an adequate education. If all that a child or young person learns in school reinforces parental beliefs, it is indoctrination. If children and young people are asked to consider many different points of view and build their skills on that as a framework for learning, it is education. Schools should be in the business of educating students. Sharing the words of a leader, such as President Obama, or experts, such as scientists, teaches students to think critically. Denying students these experiences teaches students to be closed minded which will never serve anyone well.
How was spending hours teaching kindergartens to memorize two songs and a chant, better than hours (not spent) on numbers, shapes, sight words, and children's books?
I would recommend that you read my entire comment instead of cherry picking one line. Of course, you can't do that. It doesn't serve your agenda.
How about the Pledge of Allegiance? Isn't that indoctrination?
