Question for Today

Chinese stir fry beef & rice. Use a London broil steak, throw in broccoli and carrots, and jasmine tea.

Don't forget the brown sugar glaze.

I was going to say lasagna! It's not hard, but it's so delicious!

Turkey is always nice and easy to prepare. Sometimes I do spaghetti and meatballs. Sometimes I do a ham. Sometimes I do a pot roast. Sometimes I do a big chili supper. Company meal is just whatever you like to prepare. I'm a simple cook, so I do simple things. Fried chicken if there are small children coming and macaroni with cheese.

I seem to be stuck on meatloaf LOL

usually if we are having company though we end up grilling and making it a variety for all...hamburgers, hot dogs, pork chops, steak, and brats.

I make a really good dip that everyone loves. You warm some cream cheese and mix it with salsa until it's well blended. Cut up some tomatoes (chunks), lettuce (very thin slices), hot peppers (and any other veggie you want- black olives work well in this). Bottom layer is the cream cheese, then the veggies on top of that. Top it all with shredded cheese (I buy the nacho or taco blends but cheddar works too). Any tortilla chips for dipping. The best part is that you can add as much or as little of any ingredients, to make it work for you.
As for the main course, the grill is my best friend when I'm having company. I try to keep it simple and let guests tweak the food for their taste. Burgers are perfect! I also like to serve chili since it's so easy. If I want to really work in the kitchen then I make my chicken and sausage jambalaya. It takes forever to prep but everyone says it's their favorite of mine.

Everyone always wants me to make my chicken pot pie, but I really love to serve home-made burritos!

Lasagna is always a good one.

I usually make pigs in the blanket and greek salad.

Lasagna sounds good. Plus a nice green salad.

I usually ask what people like, and go from there. I would hate to fix something that ended up not being eaten, which has happened to me once. For some strange reason this particular family we had over didn't like Lasagna.. go figure.

well meals to serve for a large amount of people could be tater tot casserole its very good my mom and sister know how to make it, but i personally don't. um... also jello salad which is a very good choice and also cucumber salad. these are my favorite foods that i like to eat whenever im a guest at a dinner. just think of the foods that you enjoy and that should help you figure out what you want to make.

It depends on my mood-I will cook for days. I love it when I can cook for the masses.

I'm a terrible cook, so I make macaroni or angel's hair pasta. It always comes out okay if I'm verrry careful. 10

The last time we had someone over to dinner it was my parents. I served Lasagna, garlic break sticks, ceaser (sp?) salad, and a cheesecake with fresh strawberries. It was a big hit with the whole family.
