Last Friday night when the kids came home from school, they were bouncing off the walls from a long week at school. We took them outside to ride their bikes and to wear off some excess energy. We stayed outside until dusk.
Maddie recieved her bike from Santa on Christmas of 2008. She has been doing great learning to ride it. She originally learned to ride a bike on a miniature one at daycare. There is a video posted if you are interested in viewing it. Now she has mastered the bike riding and she goes zigging and zagging all over the yard, and around the house.
I am also going to post a video of her riding the bike on this night in our yard.

Her face lights up when she is on that bicycle. It's so neat to watch her accomplish something new and feel a sense of brand-new confidence.

While big sis is riding her bike, Aidan is finding his delight in riding the tri-cycle. Just last year he couldn't even reach the peddles. He is growing so quickly.

A local policeman came to Maddie's kindergarten class and discussed with them the importance of safety. One of the items discussed was always wearing your helmet in case of an accident. Since that day, Maddie always puts on her helmet. She wouldn't listen to Mom, but she did listen to the police officer.

Unfortunately, Aidan was not at the lecture on safety. He refuses to wear his helmet right now. He thinks that riding a bike must include wearing a spiderman mask.

Have a great rest of the week.
Yes, that would be great to capture on film for us.
Yes, superheroes are the big thing among three and four year olds.
Yes, I would love to live in a place where it was almost always summer. We are heading into Fall now. It's time to pull out the jackets in the evenings, but still warmer during the day.
