This is a little late due to actually having work to do. LOL!
It's 11:30 now and I'm almost ready to take my lunchtime stroll to see what's up. I just saw on the Internet that four protesters have rapelled off the West End bridge.
My daughter texted me that a co-worker's car was hit by a balloon filled with poop as he crossed the West End Bridge. The protesters were protesting environmental issues ... and they through human feces around?? How does that follow?
This morning I saw more of the screens up...

This is on Frew Street outside the Tepper School on the CMU campus. New cement barriers and new screens.

This is a big parking lot full of police cars on Josephine Street in the South Side. Sorry for the poor quality. I took it while driving. LOL!

Well, would you look at that! The bus shelter on the Boulevard of the Allies, that was all smashed up Monday and Tuesday was fixed.

There are guards all over the place on campus. This is in the parking lot to the University Center.

This is a guard at the end of Tech Field by the University Center.

Guards outside Posner Hall (my building) and the Posner Center ... talking to each other! The one guard was supposed to be making sure everyone swiped their ID as they went into the building. Once again, I was able to walk in without swiping my card. Great security, guys. Maybe they'll be serious tomorrow, but I won't be here to see it. Admittedly, it's incredibly quiet on campus.
I just heard that there is a protest going on at the West End Bridge. That's nowhere near where I work, but apparently one of my daughter's co-workers got his car pelted with a poop-filled balloon as he crossed the bridge.
I can't tell you just how angry that makes me. They are protesting environmental issues, so they contaminate the bridge and cars of regular working people? What kind of point does that make? Reduce CO2 emmissions so we can spread terrible diseases around? This is the kind of protest that I do not approve of.
The four guys who rappelled off the bridge unfurled a big sign. I saw a photo that WPXI took and it looked rather cool. They could have left it at that and made a more positive impression. Then they throw human feces all over the place and reduce themselves to idiots in my eyes. If I was their mother, I'd slap them across the face.

On the fun side, there's a Repower America Rally & FREE Concert with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kathy Mattea, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and local talents Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers and the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir at Point State Park tonight (but you won't find me anywhere near downtown).
I'm hoping the most I see of all of this is a few random protesters at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods or Petland on my way to or from work and a segment on The Daily Show.
Sounds like an interesting concert, but you won't find me there, either.
Ooo...a segment on the Daily Show! That would be way cool. I hope the protests stay peaceful, but if people are going to toss crap around, it's not going to.
