Ok, I meant to do this a few weeks ago but got too busy. This time, instead of using Poll Daddy's polls, I have made a survey instead. There are only 10 questions, and you should be able to complete it in 2 minutes.
Let me know how you like this method. I need to get 100 responses, so feel free to ask your friends to take the survey too.

I'll post the results when they are ready. Thanks for participating.

Glad 2 help.
This is a survey I made. There will be no follow up stuff and no personal information asked. It does ask for your Gather name but that is it. Only I will have access to the data and all responses will be kept anonymous.
I don't know how to copy the questions over so you can preview them, sorry.
Consider the fact that Jefferson was a liberal during the middle of the 18th century, a radical and then a revolutionary towards the last quarter of that century, a conservative by the beginning of the 19th century and would most certainly be considered a reactionary if he were alive today. And its not so much that Jefferson changed . . . the method of judging conservative v. liberal changed. This is because the terms (as well the even further flanking fringes of reactionary and revolutionary) are tied to the time and place that you live.
It seems to me that political convictions should be made of sterner stuff rather than . . . . committing yourself to a label because you either want to maintain or want to change. Some things should be changed, some things should be maintained and some things should be returned to the way we once did them. Otherwise we are on a never ending march where the liberals of today will be the conservatives of tomorrow and on and on.
I suspect that given half a chance you might feel this way too. So try a couple of the following tests and let me know what you think.

I was thinking about this as I made the survey. I should not have made that a mandatory question. Sorry:(
I'm not so sure labels "conservative" and "liberal" are doing us much good, and I don't use them as often as I used to.
I did both tests. I liked the first one better since it had 3 options instead of just a yes or no. I scored mostly libertarian with a conservative leaning.
Thanks for stopping by guys:)
How close are you to a result? I see you have about 17 comments here ... but wondered if you had others who had done the survey but didn't comment here (like me, until now) bringing the total up a bit more?
I've really fallen behind on comments, had a few days where I did not have much time on the internet. Combine that with computer problems and sickness. However things should be back to normal very soon, but first I have to re-image my pc today. Thanks for asking:)
I've taken so many surveys it was quite easy to make that one. Of course thanks to Poll Daddy for providing the software to make the survey.
Thanks for the complements!
