It's been quite cool up here for days. Too cold in the morning to even ride my motorcycle. My bones don't like being chilled anymore. It's been raining on and off. That latest photo essay around Phipps (I posted recently) was done in the rain. I got wet because I'm too dumb to bring an umbrella. Sun just came out, though. :)

I don't like a lot of heat, which is why I would never live in Florida :) I also don't like how big the bugs get down there. Ew.

Come on up north; it's cooler. Of course, there will be snow in another month or two. Then, that will lead to needing to shovel... On second thought, maybe I need to move south.

Actually, I really do like having the (fairly) well-defined seasons. I don't even generally mind snow. It's the ice that I don't care for.

That and it poses an issue for my poor pups who have to go out several times a day. Me landing on my behind is bad enough; my older pup slipping is extremely dangerous. In human years, he's in his late 80's.

Today is October 12...almost 1/2 through with the month and we sit here in Tampa, Fl experiencing RECORD HIGHS!!! It was 96 degrees a couple of days ago. This is absolutely insane. My daughter in Wisconsing wrote on her Facebook wall today..."Singing in the snow, just singing in the snow."

I am so ready for cooler weather!!!
