I woke up to purring this morning. Tippy was in bed with me. Licking my arm, purring loudly, rubbing against my hand wanting me to pet him.

(Hmm..kind of sounding like Hubby here..rofl!)

I gave him all sorts of attention and talked to him etc. Then we got up..I came up stairs to find him sitting by his empty food dish, looking at me...

So..he had a reason for "lovin me up"...I feel so used!

I had a cat that did that to me. One time, I started to go downstairs to the kitchen (when I lived in a two story house), but when I turned back to go somewhere else, the cat bit me on the ankle. When I got to the kitchen, I could see that her water and food dish were empty.

We close the kitties downstairs (along with the dogs) because if we let them sleep with us, they wake us up at 5 (or earlier) demanding attention... and food! LOL

This happens to me every morning of the week. Shakti insists on sleeping with (on) me, usually curled up behind my legs, but sometimes, like this morning, on my chest. I wake up every day with cat hair in my mustache and beard.

This is a lot better than a cat I had about 10 years ago that would wake me up by licking under my arms.

LOL Walker. When my (now you) cat used to sleep with me, he'd lick my big toe, and that was really annoying in tthe mornings!! I'm glad he's sleeping with you, now.

I use to have a cat that would wake me up by kneading my head with his claws (ouch) everytime his and his roomies food bowl or water bowl was empty ,even when the litter box was dirty
