This morning I was in the waiting room at a government agency. The doors had just open so the room was rather vacant although beginning to fill up. There was this one little lad of about three running around with so much energy, if it could have been bottled, would have lit up New York City. The tike would run from his father to the door, open the door for newcomers and shout “Good Morning”. This went on for about twenty minutes or so until he and his dad were called for their appointment. The little boy smiled as he walked by me and I smiled back. After he passed, I took my pen and wrote this Haiku of ‘what is in a child’. Enjoy.
