I'm jumping up and down in excitement again (though my son says what's the point if I don't get paid)! I've got another short story published on NightsandWeekends.com. In fact, if you go to their front page, you'll see my review of a lunch-time e-book (Vampire Bytes) as well as my short story (Meet the Boyfriend) listed under columns and instant gratification. It's a fun magazine, and there's lots of other good stuff there too - great book and movie and music reviews, and competitions as well.
Anyway, here's a link to Meet the Boyfriend. It's really short and I'd love to read your comments.
Meanwhile, I wonder if jumping up and down while typing counts as a freewrite?

I agree. What's the point if you don't get paid?
I need some moola to pay my bills.
Anywho, I'm very happy for you hon.
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
Sheila, I know what you mean. You are in a magazine. People are reading your story! I think it's great.
Your son reacted to your getting this story published the same way some of my family members react! "How much did you get paid?" Well its just that they think we are underappreciated. My hubby says its okay if I don't get paid. He tells me I'll be like Gramma Moses and my grandkids will benefit from the stories after I die. One has to be a writer to understand huh?
incautious adventures
However, your behavioral description points to the possibility you have the Kangaroo flu. If you start watching Godzilla movie marathons, then the only hope is Nutrino diet of Vegemite sandwiches sent to your door in a plain brown paper bag, so your neighbors will wonder what you are hiding.
You may not be getting financial compensation BUT you are getting exposure and that is priceless..
I am very happy for you..:)
