PBS presents NATURE. Nature at its best for all of us to enjoy, ooh & aah over, & just plain be totally amazed at our earth again & again.
Now in its 28th season, PBS produced by Thirteen/WNET New York, has become a landmark presentation on most for most American television. The series has won more than 450 honors from all kinds of organizations, including 10 Emmy Awards, 3 Peabody Awards, & from the Sierra Club. Wild horses are considered one of the greatest living treasures of our American wild west & history.

NATURE has become a vast learning resource, as well as throughly outstanding entertainment in our tv/cable programming. The executive producer of NATURE is Fred Kaufman; William Grant, director of science, natural history and features programming at Thirteen, is executive-in-charge. Major corporate support for NATURE is provided by Canon USA, Inc. and SC Johnson.
Additional support is provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the nation’s public television stations. NATURE is also broadcasted in closed caption for the hearing impaired & distributed with Descriptive Video Service (DVS) for the sight impaired.
October 25th, 2009 PBS showcases "Cloud: Challenge of the Stallions," the returning saga of a magnificent wild horse named Cloud. Named by NBC's Today Show as "the most famous wild horse in the world," Cloud has become a living symbol of the American West & the proverbial ideals of family & freedom. Cloud still leads the largest band of wild horses on the Arrowhead Mountains of Montana. A poignant documentary starring Cloud, whose life has been recorded since his birth in the wild in 1995 by the Emmy Award winning filmmaker Ginger Kathrens.

"Cloud: Challenge of the Stallions" is the story of the intricate relationships within & between bands of wild horses out on Arrowheads. Overcoming natural & man made oppositions, Cloud & his band must survive & adapt on a day to day bases in the wilderness they call home.
