Speak Out Against Domestic Violence ~ Winner Announcement

I want to thank each of you who participated in my contest.  I think it is important to continue in our efforts to stop domestic violence and “speak out”.  I had some extra items in my stash, so I decided that everyone that commented….wins (except you sis.  If you want one, email me).  The prizes will be distributed as follows.  Please be aware that these are not “high dollar” items and are only meant to remind us and others of the need to stop the cycle.  Wear your item with pride and when someone asks what it is for, I hope you will tell them.
Please send me your address so I can get your prize shipped out to you.  Don’t forget October is “Domestic Violence Awareness” month, but you can speak out year round.  Thanks again to everyone who shared their comments, stories, and advice!

This is a great idea for a contest. I deleted my first comment as I realized the original words just didn't seem appropriate.

It took a lot of courage for these woman to speak out about their situations. I applaud them for that.

With this you have given some the opportunity to share their own experiences within domestic violence, as well as all the opportunity to share ways that we may continue to fight against the horrors of abuse and violence. Often lack of trust becomes the reason for domestic violence. There is a clear warning in Proverbs about the destructive nature of a lack of trust. We need to foster good communication. I'm against any violence, except against flies and mosquitos.
"except against flies and mosquitos"....LOL. I had to laugh, Bill because I can certainly agree with you on that point. Those are some obnoxious pests! You're right....good communication can go far.
