MY CVS SHOPPING TRIP 09/20/09

Once again, CVS deals were not in abundance. I had 6 ECB to use this week and so I decided to cash in on the dental items (again).

Here is what I bought:

Crest Pro Whitening Toothpaste 4.2 oz - $2.99

No coupons used

Cash back earned: $2.00

AquaFresh Iso Active Toothpaste 4.3 oz - $3.99

(Used $1.00 off coupon)

Cash back earned: $2.00

Colgate Classic Toothbrush - $.99

No coupons used

Cash back earned: $1.00

As you can see the toothbrush is free. This toothbrush is not on the same isle with the rest of the toothbrushes. It is in the bins where you would find all of the travel size items.

My total after coupons and $6 ECB from last week I spent a total of: .90

My CVS charges tax on the free items, so for a little over a dollar I completed my purchase.

Busy weekend - didn't even have a chance to browse the CVS circular yet. Sounds like you did OK though!

Thanks Karen! You haven't missed much. Maybe next week the deals will be better. Really I can't complain too much though because I'm still getting great bargains on things we need anyway.

I was disappointed in the CVS deals again this week, but I'll see if I can find any clearance freebies. You did good!

Frugal Mom, my CVS doesn't have a Clearance section. I check everytime I go and have never found anything. Good Luck.

Keep looking. The one closest to me never had before, but did last week. Like you, I always check, hoping this time. I found not only clearance but two things I could use as Christmas gifts and something I use often, all for 90% off.

I just commented to Larry that we've only had ours for a couple of months. Once you get a CVS in your area, you'll be hooked.

I've been waiting for a chance to start over with my ECB since I have gift cards, but nothing makes me want to make the trip. I have a coupon for the crest toothpaste, so if I can match any other coupons up, I might stop in when I go to the doctor this week, just to see if they have anything on clearance.

The Aquafresh deal is pretty good. I think it was in last weeks Red Plum or Smart Source insert.

I got the Colgate Pro Health and used a $1 off coupon, the Aquafresh and used a $1 off coupon, I didn't see any of the toothbrushes that were under $3 so I passed on those, but I will look in the travel section tomorrow. The other thing I got that you didn't was the Dry Idea roll on, it was $2.99 get $2 ECB and I had a $2 off coupon.

Great find! I didn't have the $2 off coupon on the Dry Idea, that would have made it worth buying! I hope your CVS has the .99 toothbrushes. Good Job!!

My husband went to CVS yesterday, but just for the Pepsi. I didn't really see anything else we needed. We are really well stocked up on toothpaste right now, even with donating a bunch, so I don't get those deals right now.

I know the feeling, I'm getting way too much toothpaste. Once I get enough stocked up though, I will start donating or giving it to friends and family.
