I ran by CVS and Walgreens today and found some pretty decent clearance deals. I thought I would pass them on for those of you who are planning to make runs Sunday morning. Perhaps this will be of interest to you, too. And they're pretty cheap. (Of course, I don't technically think I need any...)
CVS:
Lots of school supplies were marked down to 50 or 75 percent. The cute CVS-brand items that were $1 are now 2/$1 or even 3/$1. These included the mini-ink pens and highlighters, the crayon with interchangeable colors and the lead pencils. Also some cute notepads. These will make nice stocking stuffers at Christmas.
Some fake crocs were also left at 75 percent off. Just small and large sizes, though.
Check the check-out stand for some candy clearance. I got a bunch of old fashioned dot candy for 25 cents, pretty large package. Also had Sally Hanson lip gloos and lip pencils for $1.
Summer stuff was all 75 percent off and late summer/ fall was 25 percent off.
Walgreens:
Almost all the school supplies have been moved to an aisle in the back. These are the school supplies that Walgreens usually doesn't carry. Most if it is down to 25 or 50 percent off, but at my store it was slim pickings. The best thing I found was a three-pack of very Euro, wirebound notepads. I thought it would be great for many of you to carry around to jot down captions on your photos. It's bound on the side with two thick cardboard backings.
Look near the razors and you'll find some good bargains on disposables. I bought two packs of sensitive skin razors, 12-packs that were normally $5, marked down to $1 each. Also found some socks and knee-highs.
My Walgreens also had some sweatshirts and T-shirts for the local high school marked down quite a bit.
Happy shopping!
