I know what you're thinking. And yes. We did it again. T_T I swear it's a disease.
As most of you already know we have a bunny, Mephistopheles (Staphi) and two cats (Azrael and Loki). Well...now we have a DOG!
Call us crazy, but one of my coworkers approached me yesterday asking if we wanted a dog. I said no, but she explained that it looked like a husky and it had been wandering around their house for a while and she found it wandering down the middle of the road day (which is extremely windy and people fly by) and she was afraid it would get hit. She figured it was only 2 - 3 months old and she didn't want anything to happen to it. Well, they couldn't afford to keep it and they wanted to give it to a good home. He was staying at her mother's house, but her mother is superstitious and the dog howled the other night and that's an omen of death, so her mother refused to have it around anymore.
So I thought about it and I told her I'd talk to Jake about it and let her know. I thought it would make a wonderful gift for Jake for Christmas. We agreed that we were only going to get the house as a Christmas gift for each other and that would be all for Christmas, but he's really wanted a German Shepherd and a Husky was his second.
Jake said no right away when I asked him, but I told him to at least see a picture of it and see how it reacts to us and decide then. Well, we saw the picture today and Jake was mad at me because he loved it and thought it was cute. He was rather hoping it'd be ugly. xD
We went to see it earlier and...well, he's ours! Jake picked him up and held him and he didn't squirm or whine or try to get away or anything that some puppies do. He let us pet him and loved the attention and gave us kisses and everything. He's about Azrael's size, so small enough to still play with the kitties before he gets too big.
This one's Jake's pet and he was going to name it, but we discussed names mostly. We wanted to stay in the pattern of angels/fallen angels, but we couldn't find any we liked except Uriel (Uri for short), so we thought about naming the cats we have after angels and the dogs after demons. Thus we chose to name the puppy Djinn (even though they're not really "demons", but that's a discussion for another time).
We're bringing him home tomorrow. ^_^
And I know you've been waiting patiently for...PICTURES! So here they are.

Either way, you've got to admit they're fascinating creatures, I'm sure.
Anyway, I read your Chapter 1 of Shifters... fabulous. Very gritty. I liked it and want to read more.
But still... chills. :)
Mmhmm...but chills can be good sometimes. :)
And there's nothing wrong with being a djinni. ^_^ Djinn can be either good or bad, really.
You're wonderful and so is that puppy! Look at those eyes :)
I'm hoping to have one either tomorrow or the day after. You know I'll be snapping pics all over tomorrow. hehe.
Congratulations
What a cutie!!
