Freaky, Frightening and Fabulous!

As many of you know, I absolutely ADORE Halloween. It is the one time of year where you can be whoever you want, act however you want and be totally weirded out and nobody cares. It is actually encouraged.

I love Halloween so much that Ed and I had a Halloween Costume Wedding.

So, with October right around the corner, I have started my Halloween shopping.

Ed and I went to the Fresh Market (one of my favorite specialty stores) today. As you come up to the front of the store,you are reminded that Halloween is just a few weeks away.

 

 

 

Venture a bit into the store and the Fall Flowers get your attention.

 

 

 

Amid the pumpkins and squashes are the beautiful decorative gourds. There are so many intersting crafts that use these vivdly colored gourds.

 

 

But my very favorite is the Halloween Candy display. Unique candies are mixed in with seasonal favorites to make a spooky scene quite irresistible.

 

 

And what Florida Halloween would be complete without Candy Corn Salt Water Taffy?

 

 

Can't wait to go haunting..oh I meant hunting, for more Halloween goodies.

Yay Halloween !!!
I've got our outside decorated somewhat already! I found strands of 50 count purple lights brand new in the box fr $.59 at Goodwill today, so I strung some around our back door. Unfortunately, they are not end to end lights. The other two will go inside.

When the kids were little and home I used to love Halloween. Now, after the first hour, my husband and I fuss about who's to answer the door!

But I still like to see the little ones dressed up.

You've made a very fun photo essay and will have everyone excited about the upcoming Halloween! I hope to be up in Payson with my daughter and her family. She's creating some special decorations and is planning a big night.

I love Halloween too! This is the first year we are actually going to decorate for it and I'm really excited. We are doing the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. My daughter and I have been working on it for some time now and still have much more to do. I can't wait to have my mom (Tanya P. ) come up and join in.

I love halloween but I hate Halloween decorating. I just like to dress up that day and buy the candy (and eat the candy). I also love decorating with one pumpkin and maybe a few gourds but no more. I'm too old for doing too much. I don't decorate indoors all that much either. I hang a few spider-rings on the strings that pull up the blinds and I have a couple of dolls and such I put in the livingroom. That is it. Love the pictures.

My favorite Holiday ... Halloween
Halloween is probably one of my most favorite holidays too....
They have had stuff up in the stores here since before Labor Day....or was that the 4th of July????

I've been going through all of my stuff..I have a ton of stuff for Halloween and I inherited a couple big boxes from some friends who lost their house this last summer....

getting to be time to start making dead bodies to litter the yard with..hehehe...

Halloween parties used to be just for kids. Now we see grownups dressed in costume even in the workplace.

I don't go all out for Halloween but it is a fun holiday. I went to Salem MA on Halloween when I first moved to New England.
