I am Really Upset(frustrated, sad, etc) Right Now!!

I am so upset right now...

I sent off for the $20 Kraft Back to School rebate.

You had to buy 10 boxes of cookies and crackers, 5 Capri Sun or Kool-Aid Jammers, and 5 Kraft Easy Mac single cups to get the $20 rebate.

Today I get a card in the mail stating I hadn't sent in all the valid proofs of purchases needed.

I posted a long blog if you don't mind reading it and letting me know what you think please at Marsha's Spot

It may sound silly, but I needed that $20...I don't work outside the home so all refunds and my online money is what I have for me and I need it!!

I was just telling Jasmine yesterday that I needed it to come in to help me pay to buy a new pair of tennis shoes.

(typing about it isn't making me feel any better)

no, all the card says is that I didn't include the proofs of purchase for 20 valid items...and the toll free number on the card it gives me if I have questions is not a valid number

I think that is one reason that I do not send in for rebates anymore! You probably spent 20 dollars buying that food! I hope you find another way to make the money. I do the same, online and recycling is my only "extra" that helps buy shoes and shampoo.

I would guess more like $40+ even after coupons buying the products.
Now, I bought them with my food stamps since I was still getting those, but that wouldn't be the issue.

You have to spent at least $25 in the products BEFORE the coupons in
order to get the $20 rebate and the store where u went
should have given u a form that u needed to fill out.

this is the BTS (back to school) rebate from the coupon booklet so it's a different offer

Don't blamed you for being upset. I've found that you have to "make a case" with these companies sometimes. They think the customer won't go to the trouble. Try emailing customer service of Kraft directly or calling. Sometimes going completely outside that department helps. State your case calmly but saying you fulfilled your end of the deal from what you have read exactly in printed form on the rebate and this happened. Then ask them to help you resolve it as you got no results from the rebate dept. I had a $40 rebate coming from something last November. They messed up the rebate and several calls didn't work until I called the corporate customer service, kindly asked for a supervisor and explained the situation. I had the rebate within 2 weeks. Hope you have success.

companies love rebates, half the time I forget to get them turned in by the due date, they rely on things like that. People buy the product to get the rebate then never do everything required to get it. Its just a way to rip people off.

It seems like did everything else right. If the form is online, print it out so you have it as evidence of what the form actually says. You never know they might take the form down once Oct 2nd comes around. I "usually" scan in everything I send off, but I have been slacking off lately.

I still have a copy of the form in front me as I picked up at least 7 of those booklets at the store with the coupons and forms in them.
I know it's stupid to be upset over $20 but I need to have money that is mine so that I am not asking Steve for everything.

also, if u still ahve your register receipt, make sure it has on there
that you have met the reqiurements, making sure u spent
the reqiured amount on the products, do get the rebate.

you would think after almost 20 years of refunding I would think to make a copy of it on such a high refund, but I didn't

I did not do this but when i look online, I think u have to order a FREE coupon
book from Kraft in order to do the $20 rebate.

I did sign up online originally for the coupon booklet...which I still never got...but they had a big school bus display in the store for awhile with the booklets to take.

You may be able to make a case. Those rebates are not processed in house, but are sent out in packets to home workers to do the data processing, I believe.( my daughter used to do that) so perhaps the proofs got separated from the form. I hesitate to do any of those things for just this reason.

I make a copy of receipts for large refund offers like this one. This is the only way you can get any where on a large offer.

that is suc ha bummer. Did you save copies? If so, I'd contact them with the copies of your proofs and receipts. I know how you feel...imagine when I got notice that I messed up and lost out on $500 worth of rebates this year... *sigh* I REALLY needed that too!

I've never had a problem in all the 15+ years I've sent for them

I'm looking at the form right now, and you are correct- it doesn't even say that you have to send the POP's- just the receipts and the form. I hope you don't need them, because I'm pretty sure my husband already threw out a couple of the cookie boxes. I would say this is definately worth a call directly to the company (bypass the clearing house they are normally useless). I think someone already posted the number, but if not you can usually look it up online. This is why I always write "a copy of this submission was retained for my records" whenever I send in a rebate, and circle the section on the form where they tell me what to send in. It has significantly reduced the number of rejects that I've gotten recently.

I had a $100 rebate bite me because my bank claimed that it was drawn on a Canadian bank. That 100 was removed from my account, and I had many bounced checks.
BY the time I got the check back, it was 7 months old and I could not get a re-issue.

I would be upset also and it's not stupid either to be upset. I am in the same boat you are money wise. So, $20 is a lot. I have got some coupons for free personal pan pizzas for kids who are home schooled if you can use them, just let me know. I hope that you get your refund.

I used to do the Book It program with Pizza Hut with an online homeschool group...in the end the gal ended up selling the certificates...totally wrong!
For a couple years a gal ran the Book It program through our local group.
