Some of Israel’s Accomplishments Israel is without question the most amazing, the most admirable country the world has ever seen. Despite its only being a little more than fifty years old, despite a population of just over five million, despite having to be at war footing for almost its entire life, despite having absorbed more immigrants in relation to its population that any country in history, its accomplishments in almost any area of human activity are unsurpassed. Have a look at the partial list of accomplishments that follows and be proud to be a fellow-Jew or even more if you have made any contribution at all — even if only by contributing financially to organizations that support Israel, such as FLAME. And consider what Israel could have accomplished and could still accomplish if its enemies would not single-mindedly wish to destroy it and if Israel could apply all of its genius to peaceful pursu http://www.factsandlogic.org/outstanding_accomp.html Courtesy of the Joint Action Taskforce July 08, 2004 | 1. | The cell phone was developed in Israel by Israelis working in the Israeli branch of Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel. |

The Jewish people are the most hated people in the world, but they are the strongest bravest kindest people in the world.
Your post is stunning, what a legacy of how great the Jewish state is. These miracle workers accomplish all this while savage enemies murder their families on a daily basis.
You might also be interested in this if you haven't already taken a look.
You are right... Israel has been through so much and they are still here... They are intelligent and those who want to do away with them, are jealous at how much this small country and its people have acomplished.... They are Gods chosen people, we cant and must not turn our backs on them..
Lee, This is some of today's news.

Folks I had to delete
Mugg Muggles, "The Man With the Jive
He is too full of hate and spreading lies.
I read what he said about Sarah Palin also. He is wishing death on her in a bad way.
God Bless Israel.
I'm glad I found this when I did. My son is an IB student in high school and if anyone knows (or doesn't) what that is, basically, the main idea is there is an INTERNATIONAL group of students who are learning about one another and taking grueling courses pre-college to become (hopefully) our leaders of tomorrow who have an understanding of one another.
In one of his classes, the project centers around different religions, and he chose to be part of the group that will be researching the Jewish religion, history, customs and foods. (I get to bake a few of the food items). I think it's a wonderful and I'm going to keep this article bookmarked as it contains so much wonderful information.
Then, when you look at their history and see all the suffering that they have endured, yet they come out with a desire to forge ahead! People have been trying to wipe them off the face of the earth for so long - we need to be obedient to God's Word and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but can you imagine how hard it might be for the Israelis to even believe if peace should break out? Oh, but what a day!
Thanks for making this information available to all, Scott. Even before I became a believer, I so admired the Jewish people and read everything about them that I could get my hands on - I was just amazed at such a race of people. Back then I had no idea that God was the reason, the power behind them. Now, I'm very grateful to them for the lessons that their history teaches to us, the examples they set - we only have to take it seriously and try to learn from the lessons. We are shown, over and over, what happens when a nation turns away from God, why should we be surprised when God does not favor the USA? Even with the blessings that we still have and, as a nation, neglect to thank Him or give Him credit for those blessings, we tend to think it's okay to continually whine that we don't have more, have better, have it faster . . . We're like a society of spoiled toddlers all throwing our toys at each other and not stopping to take responsibility for our actions.
It makes me that much more grateful to encounter folks such as those of you who are commenting out here and who can understand and appreciate what Scott and Lee are saying about God's chosen people.
God bless & keep you all,

I have admired the Jewish people also and how they kelp a close eye on God's word for us. And I am always glad to make a new friend that loves the things I love. I love saying God bless Israel.
One of my Muslim friends here in Houston ask me why I was so pro Israel and I told him I am a Christian and Israel is a big part of being a Christian to me. One of the first things I check every morning is Jpost.com. I have to get my morning News from Israel. : )
Now we can add
37. Israelis at the forefront of the green industry
I've only read a few articles, but I can already see that I'll be practicing my deep breathing when reading at that site! I honestly don't know how they learn to live under such constant stress and pressure! Over here, people threaten to "go postal" over most anything, but when you look at what they are surrounded by! My goodness!
Wow, it's been a very long time since I was in Houston. I can only guess that it's really grown; I'd probably be totally lost. We lived in between Houston and Galveston, in League City. I bet that's grown like crazy, also.
Yes, I don't know how you can be a serious Christian, and not be serious about Israel and the plight of the Jewish people. God loves them so our hearts need to love them, also, but I think that means more than just lip service - we really need to try and understand what's happening to them, what they care about, what they need from us and, most importantly, how God wants us to respond to their needs. I think you've got a good idea - it's got to be helpful to keep them on your mind daily and to know what is happening there each day. It's good to know that you have Muslim friends, we have to develop friendships if we can ever hope to share the Gospel. There is not a lot of diversity in the little town where I live right now, but I am friends with several evolutionists ;0) tee hee hee!
Have a great evening!
God bless - I pray everyone enjoys their weekend!
