Michael Vick is without a doubt a football superstar of unquestionable talent. The question is Should he be allowed to play as a quaterback in the NFL with his conviction in the case of financing an illegal dog fighting operation?. Being from Virginia this has been a story here for the last two years. He has served 18 months in Leavenworth Federal Prison on charges of felony animal abuse and running a gambling operation. There is no doubt that Vick is guilty of the crimes he has been charged with. I guess the question is Does he deserve a second chance? I was extremely angry with Vick and his lack of empathy because he not only financed the dog fighting ring but personally executed at least two of the dogs who were not "good fighters." Being an NFL quarterback is a high profile position. I personally would not watch the man play, but the Philadelphia Eagles have hired him, and with the injury of Donovan McNabb it is highly probably he will see significant action this season. Should Vick get a second chance? What are your feelings?

However, I try to teach my children to admire people outside of Hollywood and sports. Very seldom do I see a positive message come out of those groups.
