I'll take care of your car, Sir, and then some...
I wrote a post a few weeks ago on how to steam fish in your dishwasher. Today when I was thinking about the weird ways that you can cook food, I remembered a story that my cousin told me. He stores his car in an attendant run garage in NYC. Every once in a awhile, he will notice that there is a dvd taepe in the player or that the music is blaring on a station that he doesn't listen to. He sometimes has to shut the airconditioner down or the heat as the attendants must have been warming up or cooling down in his car. All of htis is harmless as he notices that most of this is done without driving his car as the mileage stays constant.
This past year the attendants hit an all time low. My cousin was heading to Massachusetts with his family and they smelled cookies, chocolate chip to be exact. How strange, maybe some bakery was cooking in full force. As they hit the george washington bridge area, they smelled burning, perfhaps cookies, burning..maybe there was a fire in a bakery. as they drove further, the burning smell bgan to enter their car. He pulled over open the hood and there he saw a tin sheet with tin foil and burnt cookies. The attendants were using his car as an oven while watching the kids movies. We all laughed as we told him that he would have to charge them for condo fees.
And here, all I get is a family of squirrel leaving acorns on our engine while they live in our stored car. which squirrel gets the bill?

ha ha ha... frozen lasagna? I'd hate to see my bill for cleaning up my car engine from bubbling cheese sauce. I'm sure you could eat on my car engine, as it must be sparkling clean. I wouldn't know... I can't seem to open the hood on my own.
Terrific freewrite!
The sitcom "Home Improvement" actually had an episode in which Tim had some construction guys on his show and the subject was cooking while on site. No, I'm not a fan of that show, but my father has watched every episode so many times that he should be able to re-cite them in their entirety.
writing..hmmmm, just learning... publishing...not yet
PIF
Anyway: I've heard of people cooking food on their manifolds before. I guess they don't have a small microwave or anything for the attendants? Then again...I am not sure how it works back there. I have rarely used a parking garage in my life, much less 'stored' a car.
This is an interesting story and could easily be worked into a comedy :D
I do a good schtick on my teenage boys... my oldest is a "piece of work" he marches to the beat of his own drum.
I love writing comedies, however. I tend towards those when writing screenplays for some reason. Someday one of them might be produced! heh.
this freewrite could go in so many directions (as is the purpose). nice job. :)
drive to Michigan, put water in your steaming hot engine (I know that I don't have to do this anymore, but did back in the 70's) and make dinner to share with your friends.
