What is Acorn doing here collecting 40% of their revenue to cheat the government, us, and set up prostitution of minors. It's so ludicrous it's funny. Slave trade of minors and how to declare them as dependendents in more than one city.
You have to see this. He asks why is Fox the only station covering it? Well now Cnn has joined in along with the Brooklyn Ditrict Attorney who took down the mob.
What is most interesting here is did Obama not know as a community activist working with and for Acorn?

Loved it. Stewart: WHAT THE ****!!!!!!!!
Damn that was awesome.
And they would have gotten away with it IF it wasn't for those meddling kids!!
That was hilarious .... he is funny even when I don't agree with him. I just choose not to laugh at the things with which I disagree. I'm laughing a lot irt this one. lol
If the total that might have been stolen is the $3,500,000 I saw on TV last night, that is only about $0.10 or ten cents a person. Compare that to the bank bailouts. Spending your attention and effort on Acorn is a waste of time.
Why do you care so much about something so trivial? Sure they are guilty and at least some should go to jail for a time. That might even make you feel better. But it won't solve any problems. It will just replace one scam with another.
ACORN has been on this path since at least 1995 and was again very recently let off the hook by this particular administration when I.G. Walpin was fired because of what he found out about Americorps/Acorn.
Everyone has been covering for them for a very long time, no matter how much people complained.
It is about time their stuff was brought out into the light. All parties represented in and many members of Congress are tainted by this. Not just the Libs and not just Obama ----
They (Congress who supports it as well as ACORN and it's tentacled associates) are actually part and parcel of most everything you cited to Carol.
Look here to see partially where it's tentacles reach ... besides directly into the Whitehouse in the form of Andy Stern of SEIU.

Carol, the government and big corporations are stealing trillions from us and you want me to ignore that and concentrate on a small time scam? I don't defend organized crime such as prostitution. I don't defend fraud. But I try to solve problems, not just point and blame. If Acorn had never existed and had never been funded by the government in any way would that have made any difference at all in your income or your standard of living or your health? I seriously doubt it. But the insurance companies and corporate food and the drug companies and the banks and so forth have badly hurt your income and probably affected your health. They are the threat, not Acorn.
Why do you care so much about something so trivial? Sure they are guilty and at least some should go to jail for a time. That might even make you feel better. But it won't solve any problems. It will just replace one scam with another.
Do you have some vested interest it those huge crimes? Are you in the pay of the big money interests? If not they are stealing thousands of dollars from you every year. Don't you care about that? Why are you so passionate about a trivial matter like Acorn?
Is it that Acorn is weak and you want somebody you can bully without fear of retaliation?
The proverbial nipping it in the bud.
Lee says: Because the "petty" crimes this organization perpetrates go the very heart of our system of government and I believe it contributed to and continues to contribute to the foundational problems which caused this whole mess.
You've heard it all before ... Saul Alinsky stuff. And asking me why I am so concerned about it is like asking why any of us is concerned about organized crime of any kind.
In any case, the why of it seems obvious to me ... and they've been plying their trade for nigh on to thirty years . . . see this video. I'm fairly certain you won't like it and won't believe it but there it is anyway; and there's always a chance I'm wrong about your interest. In any case, someone is bound to be informed by it. Could be you.
Larry said: Do you have some vested interest it those huge crimes?
Lee says: Which ones?

Lee says: Depends what they are.

Lee says: Because it's not trivial and not weak.

I say again, Lee, why are you so concerned about petty crimes and ignoring those that cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of lives each year?

Now show me how Acorn has harmed anyone's life. (There must have been some persons harmed by them.) Whereas I can point to all those bad loans and all those people whose retirement funds have been destroyed and all those people who can no longer make their mortgage payments and all those people who have lost their jobs. Just compare the scale of the problems, Lee.

Lee, Acorn's guilt is not in question here. We agree that they are guilty of some crimes.

Somehow I have the feeling that ACORN just isn't that powerful. I really don't think they were in control of all those bankers who loaned all that money and took all those huge risks with other people's money. I don't think ACORN controlled those bond rating agencies. I don't think ACORN controlled Greenspan and the others responsible for regulating those financial institutions. If you can make that case I will really be impressed.
Whats really amazing is the level of complete ignorance you display.
If a chapter of ACORN is involved in this crap then prosocute them but you people constantly making it into a Obama involvement with ACORN issue is not helping anything. In fact it is hindering a potential criminal investigation.
And the fact that you have access to websites that tell the real story of Obama and ACORN and STILL want to ignore them and develop some conspiracy theory just makes you look like a bigger horsesarse.
They weren't around at all in 2008. We had many other activist groups come by to make sure people were registered. Lots of ground troops of local folks walking door to door for Obama. None of them were ACORN.
I once worked for McDonald's for 3 months many years ago. Am I responsible in any way for all the obesity caused by that chain? That's how much sense it makes to link Obama with ACORN's ills.
And when the Speaker of the House doesn't even know about a vote to shut down the funding for ACORN .... we have a media/communication/ awareness problem, not a right wing problem.
And it's not the fault of Fox.
