hello my dear Gather friends... i wanted to thank you all for

your nice comments on my September post... it's been a great month and today is my BIRTHDAY...

soooo thank you for all the nice birthday wishes you

all put on my last post....

and a special thank you to NORMA/ and DEB...

for making a special surprise party for me...

i was not around until after 7 p.m. and did not see their party right away...

now that i've seen my party and cakes and baloons

and wonderful wishes... i know how truly Blessed i am

to know all of you special people... i call you Friends and mean it...

thank you again and again... you have touched my heart...

see you around every couple days... much love and hugs to all...

September has been rather terrible for my family. More problems with my son making my wife about as angry as I've ever seen her. I'm lucky to get an hour to write these days. I do do my daily 90 minutes of exercise outside and then 3o minutes on the exercise bike. My goal is to be 210 lbs by Oct 1, but I've only lost two pounds so far this month. I am 217. Still, I feel much much better than I did last year. My bad leg locks up on me making people think I'm doing a House impersonation. I just hope they don't want to send me to the funny farm, although I can tell a few good clean jokes. I still cannot strum my guitar, but I can pick out tunes. September 25 was my mom's birthday. We will take her out to dinner next weekend and she is quite understanding to this. Until then, I can only check the stores for our holiday bird, a peacock of course.

Oh William I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. Stay encouraged on working toward the weight loss you will get a break and your hard work will pay off soon. Have you considered using Glucosamine Condroition (sp?) supplements for your leg? Will keep you and your dear family in my prayers.

I am very hesitant to use supplements because many are analog, which means if you take them for a long period of time and then stop or can't take them there is possible health consequences. Most supplements are synthetic and many are made in China. I refuse to buy Chinese products.

I think I earned my son's respect by being the one voice in our family refusing to condemn him. He understands his wrongs and loss of his car was a hefty price. I want to be stern but not overly punitive.

Hi Necee, it is now October 2nd and that means time for a monthly write by you, my friend. How are you enjoying this wonderful Autumn weather, or has it come to you yet in Florida? We have just experienced the most beautiful week with fantastic temperatures, and were finally able to get pansies planted yesterday evening. At the moment they are looking rather pitiful, but it rained last night, and we are hoping that they will bounce back now that they are planted. I bet you've got quite a flower show going on, and I would love to see some photos.

Necee, I see you pop in, but you don't stay. Why don't you post a photo or something, just so we have a place to say hello. You know it is Halloween season now. I decorated my porch. Still not finished, but it looks like it is, so if I do more, fine, and if I don't do more, fine. Are you decorating?
