Going two and oh at the start of the season is a good thing. Half the teams have the chance to do so and some of them do not.
The Haves:
If the Panthers play football against the Falcons like they did the Eagles, and the Falcons play their style of football against the Panthers, this might be ugly. The Panters were picked by many to repeat as division winners but the Falcons look good to go 2-0, the Panthers, 0-2.
1 Falcons win.
The Flavor of the Season Brett Farve Team isn’t going to fold up under the pressure of the forty million dollar rookie from Detroit. Vikes go 2-0, the Lions go 0-2.
2 Vikings win.
The Packers didn’t look very good last week but oh my god the Bengals looked bad. The Pack goes 2-0, and the Bengals get used to losing.
3 Packers win.
The Jets looked good last week but so did the Patriots. The Jets played a mildly annoying Texans Team while the Pats scrapped with a resurgent Bills squad that damn near took them out. The Pats will be better prepared this week and the Jets will crash.
4 Patriots win.
The Saints and the Eagles both won big in week one but the Saints were playing the Lyings and the Eagles were taking apart a Carolina team that just folded. The Eagles will not play McNabb, and if they do it will soon become clear a man with broken ribs ought not to play football. But they are playing the Saints. Enter Garcia for the win.
5 Eagles win.
The Seattle Seahawks played an easy game and made it look easy. The Niners played what was supposed to be a much better team and made themselves look good. I’m thinking Coach Mike Singletary is going to go into this game pumped up!
6 Niners win.
The Steelers are the Steelers and the Bears, are not the Steelers. Hell, they aren’t even the Bears anymore.
7 Steelers win.
The Broncos play the Browns, after playing the Bengals, and they might wind up as the sorriest 2-0 team in history if they manage not to lose.
8 Broncos don’t lose.
The Ravens looked very sharp in week one while the Chargers damn near lost to the Raiders.
9 Ravens win.
If you don’t think Week Two means anything look at the next set of contenders. Dallas won a conference game against Tampa Bay while the Giants beat division rival Washington. Whoever wins this game goes into week three with a division lead, depending on what Philly does. This is as good as it gets. The Giants can make a big statement by going into Dallas early and winning. The Cowboys are emotionally fragile. Hurt them early and it might go a long way.
10 Giants win.
The Colts go into Miami and if Miami doesn’t remember where they lost their offense this is going to be ugly. They cannot allow themselves to be pushed into the same sort of hole the Falcons pushed them into, but the Colts aren’t as physical as the Falcons. Still, the Manning factor is in play, and the fins go 0-2.
11 Colts win.
Some teams are going to go down hard. I’ve covered a lot of them above, but there are some left to be dealt with.
The Have Nots:
The Jacksonville Jaguars have not been the same team since losing Tom Coughlin. The fire isn’t there, and neither is a lot of the players who made them one of the most feared teams in the NFL. Yet they played hard last weekend, and almost took the Colts down. The Cardinals, on the other hand, folded. I’m not going to write them off, but damn, I can’t pick them after last Sunday.
12 Jaguars win.
The Titans lost a tough one to the Steelers. They will not lose to the Texans.
13 Titans win.
The Redskins are a better team than most believe. The Rams looked awful last week.
14 Washington wins.
The Bucs played Dallas with real heart and ever down a ton they kept fighting back. The Bill won their game except for the last two minutes of it, anyway. This will be a good game, but the Bucs are starting 0-2.
15 Bills win.
The Ugly….
Here’s the teams that would be going 0-2 were they not playing worse 0-1 teams.
The Raiders and the Chiefs play in what was once a great match-up. Now it isn’t. They play in Arrowhead Stadium so go with the home team.
16 Chiefs win.
Week One is always tough so I’m pretty happy going 11-5 to start the season.
Take Care,
Mike

I'm worried about half of them, but I always am.
WOW! Farve is a great QB!
Good Luck!
Sorry Jay - your picks look good - except the Giants and Steelers win
I'm never happy unless I get at least ten right.
