I Hit The Jackpot at CVS & Kohls

Yesterday I hit the jackpot both at CVS and Kohls.

I browsed the clearance sections at Kohls and CVS, and I did not do too bad at Publix either. My total savings for the day came to $208.27.

 

At CVS I really paid tribute to coupon shopping, by combining clearance price with a coupon.

5 x Nivea lip care reg. price $3.99 on sale at $1

I had 5 x $1 coupons, so they were FREE!!!

Total savings  $19.95

 

At Kohls I had a $10 gift card from Mypoints, which would help me stretch my money a bit, but I wanted to make sure that I was able to stretch my money in the best way possible. My three-year-old needed new sandals, as his are both worn and getting too small, but $10 surely could not get us a pair at Kohls at regular price. My toddler walks at least 10 miles a week, so I knew I had to find him some high quality sandals.

I lucked out though, as not only did I find a pair, I was able to get much more and my total was $1.19 out of pocket.

Yes, Alex it is very important, especially now that he is not in the stroller ever....I am amazed at how far those little feet can carry him. On Friday he did a round trip of 5 miles, and he was still hyper when we got home...he slept well though:)

Priscilla, I was looking for them a while ago as well, and in that store it turned out to be with the cold meds. At $3.99 I decided to pass though.

Those are cute sandals! Unfortunately it's now time to buy Elliott winter shoes, since it is quickly sneaking up on us.

I have two CVS gift cards that are burning a whole in my pocket, but I just haven't had the chance to make it up there. It's almost $35 between the two cards so I'm hoping to start over with my ECB (my husband misplaced mine and they expired before I found them) and find some good deals to splurge on.

Brittney I misplaced mine ones, and I was not happy. At the moment, I am out, because I spent them all on vitamins for the baby. I have had the Kohls card for a month or two, but I wanted to get the right deal.

Oh yay! I'm glad use got to use it! I got 2 tshirts for my oldest son today at Kohl's for $1.70!!! I love that store!
