We're living in a world where the behavior of right-wing lynch mobs clearly is far less about ideology, and far more about partisanship and racial hate. The tea party protesters were nowhere to be found when George Bush trampled the constitution and grew the government.
On Racism, Death Threats & The Blindness of Those Who Will Not See

Trust me, I am not a fan of the Repubs or Dems...
Tea party? These fools could not win a revolution against themself never mind over throw our republic. These arm chair worriers have about as many guts as the democratic party and that's not very much at all.
It's all knitpicking anyway. The point still stands whether they tea parties a literal lynch mob or not. Especially since it is about more than just the tea parties...
In any event, that was a reasonable sized crowd. You'll find that conservatives are rarely arrested (except in Chicago), but the right-wing police pick primarily on progressives.
and they were moved back from the white house.
All kinds of extra security measures.
This has nothing at all to do with race and everything to do with Obama's policies. Tea Party and 9/12 protesters are FOR free markets, and AGAINST big government, AGAINST higher taxes. We're FOR fiscal responsibility. Why is this so hard to understand?
And we did protest about Bush. Most of us did. We wrote letters and we shouted at the TVs in our living rooms. Isn't that all the liberals ever did?
I guess I don't believe what you say either.
Bush only won by disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of voters. The evidence is now available on legitimate sites and published.
And I want to refresh your memory on the elections even with all that cheating. . . Bush was once apointed by the Supremes. That election had blatant cheating.
Even with his appointment to the presidency there is the glaring popular vote count.
Bush 47.87%
Gore 48.38%
50.73% Bush
48.27% Kerry Ohio the target for cheating this time, but still only 1.46% margin
Here is why your lies and Denials are so over the top now.
McCain 45.9
Obama 52.7 the difference is 6.8% largest seen for a while
"isn't" that all the liberals did?
No, there were protests and arrests. They probably weren't shown on FAUX
I notice you don't even mention the Cindy Sheehan
There were protests all during both Bush terms, strange that you don't know of them.
How many Dems did you know who protested during the Bush terms? I know absolutely zero.
But on 9/12 one in every 150 Americans were protesting somewhere in the US - in Washington DC or in their home towns. And they're not all white. And they're not all Republicans. There are plenty of Independents and quite a few Democrats protesting as well.
In Cincinnati, when the President was scheduled to speak at the AFL-CIO picnic, there were 200 Tea Party protesters outside the park where Obama would speak. Some of the union members sent their families inside to the picnic and took up signs with the protesters.
More than likely you didn't know about them cause they were most times restricted to being blocks away from where the president or any other action was held. When Bush came to St Louis we were restricted to being about 7 blocks away with barricades around us. You call that freedom to protest?
Now lets deal with your assertion that racism has nothing to do with Tea Bagging. If so can you explain to me why racist signs and shirts can normally be seen when one views the news about it? And I might add on FOX News as well. How come these lovely protesting citizens always seem to not see the racism, the total disrespect for our elected president, the open disdain for anything he does or says, the threats of guns next time they rally or the conundrum of various complaints they levi against the president? No, Marilyn, you are the one not seeing the reality of the Teabaggers mob mentality.
How is it that seeing a handful of blacks participating makes the actions less racist in your mind? Is it to say that blacks can't be fooled like you are? Your arguments remain out of line and totally unintelligible.
What racist signs? Show me proof. Where are the links. I have not seen any. None. Zilch.
The most racist things that I've seen are from Dems. The gentleman who lives in Texas and gets harassed because he's black and a conservative Republican? He's not bothered by Republicans. He's bothered by Democrats. Why? Because it's ASSumed that anyone who is black has to be a Democrat. That's the most racist thing of all. Are you really that blind?
You need math lessons.
you say 1 in 150 Americans.
300 Million americans
Ok, now give me some of Glen Beck's math magic math. Total number of protesters.
Tell me how many that would be.
As for DC
Anyway NO credible source has said more than Tens of thousands.
Rob Port says a park spokes person said 1 mill, but no official DC number becaues of protests about the Million Man March. A lie.
Park service gave a number for the Inauguration and for this protest.
A very generous 75 Thousand.
As for nationwide.
gatherings here and there from a handful to a few thousand.
So get over it.
It was a bust.
There were none in my county, the county to the north, the county to the south.
Why on earth do y9u believe all the lies, then come on gather and think we will believe them.
you have -0- credibility.
During Geo. W. 1st term, I was working in the Bay Area,
So NATTURALLY I know people who protested.
Because I do believe more credible sources - the people themselves and the pictures on blogs and Tea Party and 9/12 web sites from all over the country - of course the figure stands at one in ever 150 Americans protested on 9/12.
Conservative estimates are that 1.5 to 2 million were in Washington. Get over that yourself. It happened.
Then, right now there are reports of 1150 rallies all over the country. There may have been more that did not report to anyone. The average turn out at them was 300.
Any way you look at it, the numbers add up to somewhere near 2 million Americans protesting. And that is one in 150 people.
Your tea party people couldn't even get noticed, so 24 hours after the
D.C. thing ended someone invented this unbelievable number.
Long after all legitimate sources in cluding FOX
said 10s of thousands.
That means under 100,000
What did the Republicans dump you crazies? And tell you to stop identifying Reublican?
You won't look at any information sites that are not properly conservative.
You only read what confirms what you believe.
Marilyn
Your crowd is going to have to be more careful when you fling out your lies.
There's another big problem with the photograph: it doesn't include the National Museum of the American Indian, a building located at the corner of Fourth St. and Independence Ave. that opened on Sept. 14, 2004. (Looking at the photograph, the building should be in the upper right hand corner of the National Mall, next to the Air and Space Museum.) That means the picture was taken before the museum opened exactly five years ago. So clearly the photo doesn't show the "tea party" crowd from the Sept. 12 protest.
The Baucus plan proves the point of this article.
