It is probably because they had not thought out doing anything like this before. I mean, this revolting against the government is a somewhat new concept to those who sit on the A * * all day. I am not taking sides BTW. I am just thinking about this in a whole new light myself. I mean, until Amiee Allen's video Ron Paul Revolution, I never would have thought to revolt and have a Tea Party again in America.

Hmmm...you got over a 100,000 people gathered together in D.C. to show their distaste with the present administration and congress....and not one arrest. Lynch mob? Hardly descriptive. There will always be a few kooks show up at any gathering, but it looks like the majority of the Tea Party folks are just regular, hard working people who are sick and tired of the government they elected just completely ignoring what the people want.

In any event, that was a reasonable sized crowd. You'll find that conservatives are rarely arrested (except in Chicago), but the right-wing police pick primarily on progressives.

I suggest that anyone who thinks the Tea Party rallies have anything to do with race attend just one to see how wrong that is. Did you realize that the man who is creating songs for the Tea Parties is a conservative African-American? Did you see the post I made that showed pictures of African-Americans at the rally in Washington, DC? Or note that one black man said he didn't dare bring his family because they are given such a hard time from the left for being a part of the Tea Party movement? Because they are black, liberals think they have to be Democrat. (Now, isn't that racist?)

This has nothing at all to do with race and everything to do with Obama's policies. Tea Party and 9/12 protesters are FOR free markets, and AGAINST big government, AGAINST higher taxes. We're FOR fiscal responsibility. Why is this so hard to understand?

And we did protest about Bush. Most of us did. We wrote letters and we shouted at the TVs in our living rooms. Isn't that all the liberals ever did?

But on 9/12 one in every 150 Americans were protesting somewhere in the US - in Washington DC or in their home towns. And they're not all white. And they're not all Republicans. There are plenty of Independents and quite a few Democrats protesting as well.

In Cincinnati, when the President was scheduled to speak at the AFL-CIO picnic, there were 200 Tea Party protesters outside the park where Obama would speak. Some of the union members sent their families inside to the picnic and took up signs with the protesters.

More than likely you didn't know about them cause they were most times restricted to being blocks away from where the president or any other action was held. When Bush came to St Louis we were restricted to being about 7 blocks away with barricades around us. You call that freedom to protest?

And I might add on FOX News as well. How come these lovely protesting citizens always seem to not see the racism, the total disrespect for our elected president, the open disdain for anything he does or says, the threats of guns next time they rally or the conundrum of various complaints they levi against the president? Cena, I've seen the pictures. I have corresponded with Cincinnatians who were there. Frankly, I believe them - the pictures and the first hand stories. I believe them when they say that DC police told them that this was the largest protest they've ever seen in Washington. They had to shut down the streets to the buses that were still coming in early in the day. The march had to start 2 hours before it was scheduled because already so many people had arrived. But you can believe the "tingle up the leg" folks if you so desire. I believe those whom I consider credible.

Because I do believe more credible sources - the people themselves and the pictures on blogs and Tea Party and 9/12 web sites from all over the country - of course the figure stands at one in ever 150 Americans protested on 9/12.

Conservative estimates are that 1.5 to 2 million were in Washington. Get over that yourself. It happened.

Then, right now there are reports of 1150 rallies all over the country. There may have been more that did not report to anyone. The average turn out at them was 300.

Any way you look at it, the numbers add up to somewhere near 2 million Americans protesting. And that is one in 150 people.

There's another big problem with the photograph: it doesn't include the National Museum of the American Indian, a building located at the corner of Fourth St. and Independence Ave. that opened on Sept. 14, 2004. (Looking at the photograph, the building should be in the upper right hand corner of the National Mall, next to the Air and Space Museum.) That means the picture was taken before the museum opened exactly five years ago. So clearly the photo doesn't show the "tea party" crowd from the Sept. 12 protest.

You have to realize that opposition to this government is coming from a wide variety of areas. For example, Joseph Mercola (Mercola.com) just had an excellent article on how Monsanto's minions have infiltrated the Obama Administration. (Tom Vilsack really is a vile sack -- he once opposed a Bill of Rights celebration and wouldn't even allow them to post it in government schools!). We need to see beyond the false left-right paradigm. There are good people across the political spectrum who are waking up to the fraud of Obama. He's just another figurehead hired by the global corporate elite, to advance THEIR plans against us. The media is part of that elite, which also need to be overthrown. Thanks for posting this!

It's interesting you mentioned "Monsanto". The Monsanto Corporation seems to be more than just about the money. If you control food sources, you control all aspects of the populations survival which to me seems to be their goal. Even if their activities are banded by other countries, I would think they could have worldwide influence over food production just by the germination or pollination process, import and export of food, etc and it's extremely frightening.
