I woke up at 6:00 am from a dream that terrified me. I was dreaming of a blond mermaid who was lost. She was drowning, and then, a man's voice said, "If you don't watch what you have, you'll lose it!"
It woke me! I got up, and went to let the dog out pondering the meaning of the dream. As I have mentioned before, my daughter who is 15 tends to wander at night, but instead of checking her, I went to the garage, and found my car missing.
She had taken it. I called her on her cell phone, and she was crying. She was lost, terrified, had to use the restroom, and out of gas.
I of course woke Dad, and we went to get her in a very bad neighborhood where we saved her from herself.
She is grounded for the rest of her life. I just did another article about my house is a prison. Now, you know why.
That dream still haunts me.

I am glad she is OK. I don't know much of the background, so I hope my saying so is not inappropriate, but my cousin used to sleepwalk and they lived near a highway, and they thought of this idea. Would you consider putting an alarm system in your house and putting the alarm on at night so that you hear the alarm being disarmed (it makes a beeping noise when you punch in the code) or an alarm sounds if not disarmed before someone leaves the house? You can rent them monthly I think. That way you would know when she is leaving but she will feel it is just an alarm for general safety.
man.
messy, messy, messy.
at least it got cleaned up. sounds like it could've gotten a LOT worse...
I'm coming back to comment further, and in the meantime, this is FEATURED in Dream Depths. I'm sure the other Members will have something to add to this!
Thanks for sharing this with us.
You also have keen INSIGHT. I hope you share more of your DREAMS with us. This one is worth writing down and putting into your daughter's Scrapbook. She'll look back on this and truly THANK GOD for YOU!
HUGS ~
