My daughter, Sarah, always loved the song by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, "Ebonyand Ivory." So it was extremely fitting, that when she aquired 2 darling kittens, one gray and one a champaign color, that she named them Ebony and Ivory.
The kittens belong to a friend at work and when Sarah heard that they were ready for adoption, she hightailed it over to my friends house to look at and "interview" the kittens. She wanted to make sure they were a good match for her and her children.
Thus the saga of Ebony and Ivory began.
They are cute....fiesty little devils. But they are good kittens and have made a home with Sarah, Zoe and Dominic.

This is Ebony...isn't she cute?

And here is Ivory...fiesty little thing!

Good names for them.
When I was a small child in the late 50's and our dog's name was Ebony. The dog barked too much and disturbed our neighbors so my Dad had to give our dog away. We never had another dog after than. I think it may have been more that my Dad planned to go hunting with Ebony and my Mother didn't want my Dad to go hunting. She did years later cave into his desire to be on a bowling team. I have his trophy's.
