I started a new blog this week. Hoping to stick with it this time around, I actually have several floating out there that I did for a while, got bored or busy and then abandoned them.
Anyway, my latest blog is on something I really love-- books-- so I think it will be a little easier to stick with it. Plus, I love discussing everything I read and now that most of my college friends have pretty much dispersed I lost a lot of quality debaters and long lunch dates :( So, I am hoping for a few good followers in time, who like to discuss books.
I'm calling it, Opening Lines, and I just got my first real post up on Saturday. Hopefully I don't run out of books with opening lines that I love and can find new ones fast enough.
Here is a blurb from my first post though, on Cees Noteboom's Roads to Santiago and the emotions that we experience when we are traveling.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How many times in your life have you found yourself in awe at your surroundings? It happens to me all the time. Sometimes I wonder if I think about all the people that have been there before me or what happened before I arrived too much, but in the end I know that the emotional connection I feel with each place adds to my travels. When you leave, memories are all you have left to you, and to be able to remember not only what you saw, but what you felt, is a gift.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would love to hear what you think of it, if there is something you would change about the layout. Anything.
Thanks

The thing about starting blogs, is that you always want to start more. lol, I already have five more planned, but I know I can't handle all that right now.
