Ellen Degeneres on American Idol

I found out the other day that Ellen Degeneres is going to be the fourth judge on American Idol this season!! I was really happy about that choice; Ellen is a really funny and entertaining person and I think she'll bring a lot to the show...

BUT--I just read that Ellen will only be joining the other judges AFTER the auditions...I thought that was incredibly stupid! I want to see her opinions on everyone that sings for the panel-I want her to get a vote, I don't want her to just get to judge the people the other 3 judges picked themselves! I don't think that's fair!
I really hope they change that before the show kicks off!

Anyone else agree with me? Any other comments on the shows pick for the new 4th judge?

I'm thinking that Ellen has such a kind heart that she may not be able to tell people no. If it was up to her, she would probably pass everyone through.lol. Maybe it was partly her decision to do it that way.

She is a really nice person, but maybe she'll show a tougher side for AI :D Maybe she'll surprise everyone! :) hehe.
Oh if I was picked to be a judge I would defeniatly want to be there during the auditions, even if I didn't get a vote! lol
