After lunch in Hartford this afternoon, my brother and I walked to the Ancient Burying Ground. A cemetary dating back to the 1600's.
This headstone was for William Leete, Governor of New Haven Colony. He died at age 72 in 1683. A good long life for that time.

Mr. Leete did live a long time for his era. Wow...he probably outlived six or seven wives.
Hartford's is better kept up than ours is, some of the smaller graves have the Angels Of Death carved in them. Interesting and guess what road it's on? Cemetery Road - not kidding.
