Serena Williams Foot Fault Video

Williams lost her cool after being called for a foot fault on a second serve while trailing 15-30 and 5-6 in the second set of last night's match. Kim Clijsters won the first set 6-4.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Williams will be asked to explain her actions and comments toward the female line judge. She'll likely have to pay a heavy fine for her actions. According to the Associated Press, Williams screamed at the official, â€œIf I could, I would take this [bleep] ball and shove it down your [bleep] throat.â€

Do you think Williams should be fined? Hasn't John McEnroe, for one, done 10x worse in his day, yelling obscenities at linespeople?

Looks like the line judge might have cost her the match, as it was really close. I didn't see the match but perhaps that judge was doing it repeatedly.

Sure, John McEnroe was way worse. It is just pretty bad now because that is unusual for Serena Williams. People tend to say, oh that's just his personality when it comes to someone like John McEnroe. It isn't right, sure. But Serena really should have learned by now how to keep her cool. I mean, day to day people can't just scream at their boss or co-worker when something at work goes horribley wrong.

Saw the video and watched the press release after where she said she had no regrets. She showed poor sportsmanship and should be punished. If she can't control her emotions and not act like a sore loser, then how can we expect younger children to do the same.

these athletes are under enormous pressure. Personally I think it says quite a bit of good that these incidents are so few and far between. And let's also not forget that one of the reasons McEnroe *is* so well remembered is *because* of some of his legendary outbursts!
