A Different Kind of Pizza

The other night we were all hungry and nobody felt like cooking, so we decided to order a pizza for delivery. I called up the Papa Johns, because it's right down the street from us. (If you notice on the pizza box, the PaPa Johns guy isn't looking to shabby either??!!!) They were having a sale on large specialty pizzas. At our house, we love the Hawain pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple. The kids love that kind too.

I made the call and ordered the pizza while our hungry bellies waited. When the pizza arrived the kids got to give the money to the pizza girl (which is a fun tradition in our house) and we all hustled to the kitchen to eat our Hawain pizza. When we opened the box, it was a Hawain pizza, but not the kind we usually get from other pizza places.

 

This Hawain pizza was made with BBQ chicken, pineapple and bacon. It was actually pretty good, but extremely spicy. My daughter loved it and ate it right up, but my three year old son didn't like it at all. We ended up making him something else for supper.

The pizza we got tasted pretty good, but we still love our family favorite Canadian bacon and pineapple.

Does you family have a favorite kind of pizza? Do you end up getting different ones to suit everybody's tastebuds?

No, not at all. It means that we like our pizza with everything on it and we call it a "garbage" pizza! The more stuff on it the bettter according to my husband.

Canadian Bacon and Pineapple is our favorite too. I love Papa Johns but since they don't deliver to our area and I'm never on that side of town we never get it. :( *sniff sniff*

You can just order from other places. I love any and all kind of pizza. It usually makes no difference to me where they come from.

That looks good, I'd like that and so would my kids. Hubby doesn't like chicken though.

I don't think I will ever order that chicken stuff again, but it really wasn't that bad. I'm kind of luck your husband. On a pizza, I like the other meats.

I enjoy roasted garlic, chicken and red onions on a pizza, although I basically stick to the standard meat varieties.

Favorite pizza is either Cheese or Meat Lovers. Makes everyone Happy knowing it's Pappa John's and delivered at the door, especially during weekend Football watching.

my pizza preferences change with my mood - but pineapple is one thing I've never really liked on pizza.... or pretty much anywhere else either. It would be ok if it were fresh - but not that fond of tinned.

I think my preferences change with my mood too. I like all different kinds. My daughter and husband always seem to stick with the ham/pineapple.
I don't know if I would like it with bbq sauce. I do love a pizza made with alfredo sauce~

We like homemade the best. Second would be from Pizzaria Uno in Chicago (other Pizzaria Uno's are a chain and the same in name only). If we order a pizza, it's often with everything except anchovies. Then we may add more garlic and oregano.

We usually order two pizzas when we order it, since my husband and I generally don't want the same kind. Occasionally we will just get a sausage and mushroom since we can agree on that. Two pizzas allows us to have plenty of leftovers for a couple of days, though, so that's what we usually do.

My best friend and I used to order pizza from papa johns and we'd always get extra cheese & pineapple! Sooo yummy! I love Canadain bacon, too, though.

My fave kind of pizza is the stuffed crust supreme [everything on it] pizza from pizza hut.
My husband is sooooo picky, so I never get that kind. It's usually just pepperoni. =/

I love Supreme also. It just sounds so good right now too.
We've done half and half pizza for our different tastes in the past BUT all that changed once we tasted the Philly Steak pizza from Domino's. I have never had another kind of pizza since then. This pizza is heaven, nirvana, shangri-la, utopia, zion, paradise, bliss, ecstasy....I could go on and on but I would be perfectly happy to never have any other kind of pizza ever again and eat this every day for the rest of my life. Unfortunately I can't afford it every day but oh the dream.

My husband hates pizza, but I LOVE Pizza! I only eat vegetarian pizzas, Sky loves cheese pizza and Roshane changes his mind all the time...if he even likes pizza at the time.

me and my kids love canadian bacon and pineapple also.. I have never seen one with BBQ.. maybe they just messed up on it.. I do LOVE bbq pizza though.. In only knew you could get it at cicis.. I will have to remember this ;)
I like plain pizzas, just meat & cheese. Sometimes I'll add tomatoes, but not often. Yesterday, they handed out coupons for $3 off any pizza at Cottage Inn, so during the festival, we walked over and grabbed 2 pizzas to eat while the kids played games. Nick and his co-worker picked a Spinach Supreme pizza with Feta cheese and black olives on it. Raegan tried a bite, and loved it, but picked the olives off. Her and Nick both want to try it again.

Man, that looks and sounds go good. Makes me want some pizza. We used to order Papa John's all the time in college. I haven't ordered pizza delivery for a long time now that we live out in the country. Sigh. How I miss living in town.

We order pizza every once in a while, but I think living out in the country sounds way better.

I bet your kids have such a blast exploring out there. And you don't have to worry about them running out into the street. That would be heaven I think.
