I've caught a lot of trout before, including many Brown Trout, but never anything like this; not even close. This is incredible and was caught in a river or stream in Michigan I think they say. The video doesn't mention exactly where by name, but I bet many fisherman are trying to find out now, lol.
I guess it is a state record, and pending world record for the species... wild!

Thanks.
Wow...that's amazing!
The largest trout I have ever caught was 26.5 pounds, and I thought that was a monster.
Well, it was Texas...and everything is bigger there (or so they claim!).
I wonder if the meat is tough or tastes like an older fish. Usually the larger the fish the stronger the taste...with fresh water fish anyways. Oh....the delishous meals I could make with all that meat :-)
Here's more on the story. http://www.wzzm13.com/news/news_story.aspx?storyid=113508&catid=14
Thanks for the additional information. I'll make the link "live" below to make it easier for others, thanks again.

Thanks for the link.
Thanks Gul!
The fish was caught up in the Manistee River, north of Grand Rapids. Our local news ran the story because the man who caught it is from Grand Rapids.
You can read the local story HERE.
I can't even IMAGINE catching a fish that big. I wonder what pound line he was using?
I had something big on my life last time I went fishing and after fighting a few minutes my line snapped!! I think it was a big catfish on the other end and I'm just using a newbie pole with 4 lb. line. lol.
Take care, and good fishing to you!
Thanks Shannon.
