Hubby got a raise!

Again! This is the 2nd one this year! whoo hoo! Considering how bad our financial situation is, I'm sooooo thankful and grateful!  My husband is a medical assistant. They've cross-trained him in every aspect that needs done in his office, including paying for him to get his X-ray license, and he's the only one that can seem to manage the bone density machine, so he's become quite valuable to the office. However, it's also a bad economy and the doctors are all crying the blues about lack of income (yea...makes me so sad as they drive BMW's, Mercedes, etc and have HUGE home theater additions put on their HUGE homes).  Anyway, they recently trained him to cover for the lab technician when she's on vacations.  Apparently it is quite alot of training, normally, and he had one week to learn it all. Originally, about 2 years ago, they said they were going to train him and that they'd pay him a bonus for the times he had to work the lab.  So, he asked them about it this week after having done the lab all week. Instead of paying him the bonus, they gave him a raise, which is better!

So, yay! Even if the gov't takes 1/2 in taxes (and trust me we are NOT in a 50% tax bracket yet!) that's $80 a month more.  It's a huge relief, but stilll not anywhere near the income we NEED to make to meet expenses. *sigh*  Guess my days of demo-sampling are not over yet!  But that's ok. I actually enjoy getting away a bit and doing something besides parenting, teaching and cleaning! I wouldn't give up being home with my girls for anything, but I do enjoy the break

Anyway, I'm praising God for His provision!
