We Need To Rebuild The Towers

annual tribute to 09-11-2001
We need to rebuild the towers
Each step to bear a name
One hund
red and ten stories tall
3000 souls, laying claim
We need to rebuild the towers
To let our children see
That even in the darkest of hours
Freedom can still declare victory
We need to rebuild the towers
For the girl on the 84th floor
Whose mother burns a candle in the window
Though her daughter comes home no more
We need to rebuild the towers
For the young son from the womb
Who will probably never understand
Why his mother had no groom
We need to rebuild the towers
For Joey the brave fireman
Who rushed up into the cauldron
Never to be heard from again
We need to rebuild the towers
That's the only right thing to do
It’s the most honest way, that we can say
To the victims: "We Honor You"
We need to rebuild the towers
And make them beacons of light
So they can join Ms.Liberty in proclaiming
We cherish our right to life
We need to rebuild the towers
Beneath God's watchful stare
Blessing each corner-stone and girder
And demonstrate that he is welcomed there
We need to rebuild the towers
That's all I have to say
To present a testimony worthy enough
And to always remember that day.

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!
They will stand forever in our memories of the people slain without true reason,
and the innocent children that had no way of knowing why.
They will stand in remembrance of all the brave souls who perished trying to help them.
Corporate in Denver called and told us we could send the troops home and then leave ourselves. Most of us had relocated to Myrtle Beach for the job so we didn't have any place else to go. Maryanne came back with the TV (office was already cable-ready), PM Poole ordered a slew of pizza and wings and though we were all from the four corners of North America, we all sat there together for hours watching that TV.
At the end of the project PM Poole raffled of the TV, fittingly, Maryanne - the receptionist who rushed out to get it, won the set.
It's been a bad day, but not total, please see article and my update comment.,....

Nice poem Robert!
We need to rebuild our national soul, to stop peeking around corners, and looking under beds. We need to man up, tell 'em to bugger off, and get back to the business of living.
All these things remind me that we must pray for our country and leaders!
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
