Someone loves spreading internet rumors. Last night it was reported that Matt Damon had passed away, but he wasn't the only one. Various blogs were also saying that Olympian Shawn Johnson was dead. It's all untrue, but it does lead one to question how much they can trust what they read online.
Do you believe all celebrity news you read? When do you know it's true? What sources do you trust the most? Or do you never trust a story until you hear it straight from the celebrity's mouth?

If Ryan Seacrest (for instance) were to say that Matt Damon (or anyone of a celebrity status) was dead, I would believe him. If a reporter from Enquirer were to say so, I would not.
And so it goes... I get a sense of who I am willing to believe, and who I am not. These days, its easy enough to double check facts on the internet.
