I will miss the inquisitive questions
About what I meant by a phrase
I will miss the empathy and suggestions
The smiles from both sides we raised
I will miss the heartfelt yearnings
Expressed so adamantly well
I will miss the rememberences in song
Sent back and forth to tell
Of times and places we had known
Those taken by deaths' knell
I miss the curious expressions
Revealed in stanzas many
The care for others impressions
As though it mattered any
But most of all I miss the knowing
That you'll not read my words
Or a scene in photos showing
The sights I share, or what I've heard
I will miss the works you gave
The words helping all to mend
From daily slights, to those who rave
These new insights now must end.

You two had a lot in common, in my eyes. Hugs always to you, my friend.
I'm so sorry for her hubby most of all.
Lovely poem, by the way.
