Guess Who Turned "1" Today!

I got a phone call this morning from my step dad asking if I could stop over sometime later today to photograph Sparky's 1st Birthday.  I knew my parents had gotten him a few goodies and I thought it would make for a good photo essay here on Gather.

Here is Sparky making a wish.

And blowing out the candle.

I'm not sure what store they went to, but they got him a doggy bone cake and doggy ice cream.

I think we were a little worried he'd not only fall off the chair, but possibly attempt to get up on the table like this during meal time. So the ice cream eating was relocated to the floor.

His present was "Super Chicken."  This is just like those Woot Flying Monkeys only you pull on his gizzard (underneath the chin) while holding his feet. Super Chicken then soars through the air screaming.

I tried to take photos of Sparky chasing Super Chicken, but they were too blurry.

You'll just have to take my word for it that Super Chicken was a big hit.

I remember as a child having a birthday party for my dog with a few of the neighbor dogs and owners in attendance. Today brought back some memories.

Oh my gosh that is just the cutest thing I have ever seen. Your step dad picked the perfect photographer to photograph Sparky's birthday party. Do you have a video of him blowing out his candles? Happy Birthday Sparky!

Did you try the ice cream and cake M? Haha, that's just too much. Larry says HB to the little guy too.
