Ellen DeGeneres is joining American Idol!

I just read that Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul on American Idol.  I rarely watch the show, but I think that this is a good move on their part.  Ellen is very witty, and I think she'll contribute a lot to the show.

I only watch this show in the beginning to see the try-outs. So many interesting characters. Once they narrow down the field and re-do everyone, I lose interest.

Ellen's OK, but if she dances, I will turn the dial. Can't watch that!

I love Ellen. I think she will add much more to the show than Paula ever did.

Ellen is awesome, and she is much more coherent than Paula was, she would ramble at times.

i've never watched the show, and as much as i like ellen, i still won't watch it. i'd love to see ellen go back to stand-up again.

Me too! I watch her reruns on Comedy Central whenever they're on. She proves that you can be funny and PG!

we only watch the tryouts. it was hard enuf trying to take some of the contestants seriously without ellen making things even more hilarious.

I watch and I like Ellen. I just think it's odd to have a judge that isn't in the music business in some way.

Paula had top ten hits, with "forever your girl" as my fave from her.
I can't stand Simon's comment's about people's looks. After some really nasty comments, that was it.
I admit that I wish he was off of idol, and Ellen will be a nice addition, ( I watch her show every day) and I hope that she will cut down Simon after some nasty remark about looks.
SImon is one that should NOT talk about looks. At first, I thought that Simon was a lesbian.

I don't watch Idol but I love Ellen. I think she'll add class and fun. And I don't think she would ever be mean.
