Bead Wars

I haven't been on Gather for all that long, and have just started getting to know my neigbors....they've been really great! C:

This is going to sound like a long rant, but I've gotta vent.....

Did you ever have a family member that just likes to push all the wrong buttons? Well, I have one in my midst right now. See, this family member happens to live with me, and I just recently found out what lengths she will go to to get to whatever I have. I mean I'm just now realizing what a problem this really is. She recently admitted to taking some things that she thought I wasn't using (something I happened to love) and never returned it, and last week, I found one of my best pairs of scissors in her toolbox, not to mention the ephemera I've been collecting for a number of years! Wait there's more....now I'm finding out that she has been methodically going through my entire bead stash (I'm a beader and jewelrymaker by trade), and just helping herself to whatever is there! NUTS!!!!! That's the last straw! It's a collection of beads that I have spent the last 10 years or so collecting. I've tried hiding them in different spots, changing numerous locks, and even went so far taking the entire stash with me wherever I go, but the minute I let my guard down, I always find my best pieces missing!!! It's almost turned into a game for this bead thirsty mongor.  For crying out loud, you'd think I had the crown jewels of England or something! She makes a heck of a lot more money than I do, so why doesn't she go out and find her own beads?!!!  It was bad enough when she "borrowed" my generic stash, and then decided she wanted to keep them for herself, so I never got to see them again, but now she wants the best of what I have, too. Since this is looking more and more like an addiction, I'm thinking maybe and intervention is in order.  She's driving me NUTS!! Anyone out there have any suggestions on how to deal with a bead addict? How 'bout some ideas on how to get her to stop?  Revenge (jk!)? Anything, pleeeeease!!
