'I Changed My Baby's Name'

Lena Corner named her son Ralph, then decided she made a mistake. So she changed it.

Lena Corner just couldn't come up with a name for her newborn.

It took her and her partner a full six weeks to come up with a name they could both agree on: Ralph.

But six months later, she realized she hated the name, and she cringed every time she heard it, reports The Guardian.

So she decided to change it to Huxley.

The legal process was easy -- but explaining to friends and family wasn't so smooth.

She says, "There were mutterings about me and the future identity crisis I was creating."

In a recent survey, as many as 10% of parents had considered changing their baby's name. Have you had baby name remorse? Comment below.

i didn't have a say in naming either one of my children. when i was pregnant with my son we agreed that if our first child was a boy, dad would name him and if we had a girl, i would. when i was pregnant with my daughter i let my son name her.

i don't regret either decision.

I wouldn't change my kids names. We pretty much had two names for each (plus one for the opposite sex, just in case) then decided based on what they looked like. Their names fit them, their personalities, their looks. No regrets here!

I wouldn't change the name, no. I'm sure after hearing it all the time, lots of parents realize they like other names better than the one they picked, but I would never consider changing it. I knew a woman once who realized when her daughter was 3 or 4 that she just hated the name she'd given her, but by then, to late!

I love all my kids names, especially Gilly's full name, since I gave her 2 middle names. She is Gillian Lyla Isabella, and I love the name, and love telling people what it is. I get a lot of compliments on it.

LOL... identity crisis? I don't think the little guy knows that his name is Ralph, much less identifies with it. I think it's fine! If it's causing her some sort of distress to hear the name, why keep it? At that young of an age I wouldn't think it would cause problems.. maybe if the kid was older, but not that young.
