My husband and I usually come up with fun and creative ways to keep our kids entertained. The more activities they have to keep them busy, the happier they seem to be. Sometimes we run out of ideas.
I came up with the idea of learning about L's on Labor Day. We got out the LIZARDS. There is a frog and a turtle too. I was running on coffee fumes after the 4th day of the four day weekend. The kids had a great time with those slithery creatures. We got them at the local dollar store for a dollar a piece a while back.

I was calling my husband "Lizard Legs" all day that day.
I am not to fond of lizards or anything that is slimy or slithers. (Try saying that five times really fast.) I don't care if they are fake. So I let Daddy play with the kids and those creatures and I just sat back and photographed.

One of my daughters favorites is the turtle.

I told Aidan to have the lizard wave for the camera!

When they ran out of fun, Daddy held the turtle between it's legs, and Maddie twirled it and twirled it and then they let er SPIN!!!!!
Now for a disclaimer of all pet lovers, these animals are fake and were purchased at the dollar store. We would not do that to a live turtle.
Also, I hope and pray (for your own sanity) that your household is just a tad bit more exciting than mine. LOL!
