American school lunches, like airline food, are generally not considered haute cuisine. From fish sticks to corn dogs, our schools serve up mediocre mid-afternoon meals at best. But how do our academic menus measure up with the rest of the world?

Our school menu really isn't that bad. My daughter is only in kindergarten though. They serve a meat, vegetable, fruit and milk. Snack time they get chocolate milk and a healthy snack. My daughter hasn't complained yet about the food. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't want to eat that fish with the heads still on. Ewwwwww.

"mid-afternoon"? Nicely alliterative but wrong in my area. Lunches begin around 10:30/ 11 and go through 12 or so because the school day begins at 8 and ends around 2:30.
