One of my neighbor brought this as an appetizer dip for our block party and it was instant hit... Thought of sharing the same yummy receipe
Ingredients
8 ounces sharp shredded Cheddar cheese
8 ounces Shredded Swiss cheese
2 Tablespoon all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 bottle beer ( we used Guinness )
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot sauce Optional
Directions
In a medium sauce pan, bring the beer, hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce to a boil. In a small bowl, add the cheese and flour and mix until well coated. Add the cheese a handful at a time in the boiling beer and stir constantly until the cheese is melted and smooth. Transfer the beer cheese to a serving bowl and serve.
If the Beer Cheese mix gets a little too thick, warm a bit more beer, add it and stir. This recipe can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
Works great as adip with all sorts of chips, bread, crackers and whatever you like
