Walmart employees beat customer to death

As the police and media report in Jingdezhen, China, a customer at a local Walmart was allegedly beaten to death by the store employees after suspecting her of stealing.

The France 24 reports that "five Walmart employees stopped the woman in the street after she left the store and demanded to see her receipt, but she refused because she could not verify their identities."

The employees then began beating her.

The beating stopped only after the police showed up. The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she died shortly afterwards.

What about this loyalty to the employer. Some would even kill for Walmart!?!

Crazy people of Walmart...

This wouldn't happen in the U.S. Policies at Walmart and other retail establishments have to go along with the law, and the employees can't even detain a shoplifter.
It's the shoppers you have to fear here... wasn't a guy trampled to death by Black Friday shoppers last year?

That is just crazy, the first thing they tell you is to leave the shoplifter go and just report it to the authorities. I guess it is not the same in other countries.

I wonder if they had another reason for assaulting her, like if they all personally knew her or something and used shoplifting as an excuse.

Well it certainly sends out a lesson to would-be shoplifters in China. I'll do my shoplifting here in the UK in future.

In the US they don't even try to apprehend a shoplifter - they just call the police or security if they have it. That is just crazy!

Exactly, Juan. One of the worlds oldest, and once considered most advanced civilized countries in the world.

Well. In spite of their dictatorship government, seems the citizens understand capitalism perfectly.
