It's not just a flea market!

The flea market I attend every Sunday is on land owned by a local Steam Engine Association.  Every Labor Day weekend they hold their annual Steam Show with antique steam engines, antique tractors and new tractors, tractor pulls, tractor parades, an operating saw mill, a blacksmith shop, etc.  There were at least 500 tractors there and I don't know how many different kinds of engines.

After I was done shopping for treasures on Sunday I walked around and took a few photos of some of the tractors and steam engines.

I've been to a couple of these shows around here. They are really noisy when they fire them up. I think someone who was at this show called in to a national radio show this weekend.

Wow, a lot of old farm equipment. Our local flea market is all vendors selling stuff - old and new. I prefer certain ones. Some I think are rip-offs, some get their pricing off Ebay and some don't. Some are just selling stuff that someone gave them to sell so they have no idea what stuff is worth and they sell things cheap. I also love the old ladies who sell the cookbooks in the back and the guy who sells boxes of stuff he gets from people - I got a great stovetop Italian espresso maker for $1, a breadmaker in its original box never opened for $5, and so much more from him over the years.

That last Orange one was really neat, looked like all hand levers, "we"(according to Dan) are John Deer people. That's what he uses at work
