Pointing out a nut job from the past does not negate perilous decisions made today. Open your eyes, engage your brain.
First of all, whenever I see a post from Donald, who is prone to hysteria anyway, I consider the source. The source, in this case, is a rabidly anti-muslim, anti-government, anti-Democratic website. The site calls them "devout", not any press releases. Then I look at the content.
It assumes that American citizens, who happen to be Muslims, would have more allegiance to their religion than to their country, and that Muslims should play no role in government because of their religion. If being a devout ANYTHING excludes a person from being a part of government, then all of the C Street boys should resign, that is if they're not too busy humping their secretaries or running to Argentina for a piece.
Comparisons to the 9/11 bombers, is, of course, the last refuge of the brain-damaged. George Bush certainly got his Bin-Laden family friends out of the country soon enough after the attacks, and we didn't make war on Saudi Arabia, the home country of the bombers.
Having people of diverse cultural backgrounds, especially people people with the backgrounds of people we're having such a struggle with worldwide, involve themselves in our security should be a positive. They bring an understanding of that part of the world that should be invaluable. Instead, the frightwingers are acting like this decision is part of some insidious plot.
I am not defending Islam, which I think is a medieval religion that needs its own version of the Enlightenment. However, I think this type of fearmongering is what you people do instead of actually thinking: it's your Pavlovian response to things you're too lazy to understand.
I also agree to the idea that these appointments are headed in an ominous direction.
I guess it ought not to be a surprise us though, as Pres Obama did attend a Madrasa (sp?) school in his formative years there in India. Ho hum.....
Don't you?
Now do you have any evidence that these particular Muslims believe that all non-Muslims should be killed? After all, there is the history of Spain in which the Muslims accepted and allowed to worship Jews, Christians, and others. So we know that good Muslims do not go around trying to kill all non-Muslims.
So what are you afraid of?
So I guess that the fundamentals of the Christian, Islamic, and Jewish faiths have changed since 9/11. Perhaps these religions are not what they were in past centuries. Is that your contention? Is that why you suggest (I infer) that the actions of people of faith in past centuries is somehow irrelevant?
People did not do their homework or actually listen to Obama with open eyes and ears. He actually was smug enough to hint at his intentions, but the idol worship rhetoric worked well for him.
Remember water dripping on a stone and the frog jumping into a pot of cold water, stayed but didn't notice it was slowly coming to a boil, until it was too late. A frog would immediately jump out of a pot of boiling water; and if it knew it was boiling, would be smart enough not to jump.
He made a fool of himself- The Pitch-Man, president is in way over his head- a community organizer- street level ACORN director is what he is. And the American people are realizing it now. The Magical Obama's wax wings have melted.
Obama is the "Pitch-Man", who has fell to Earth.
How would you like to be blamed personally for every horrible act committed in the name of Christ?
How do you even know the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks were devout Muslims?
